Σημείο αναφοράς της πόλης είναι ο ποταμός Σακουλέβας. Στις όχθες του βρίσκονται τα εργαστήρια Φλωρινιωτών καλλιτεχνών, μακεδονικά και νεοκλασικά κτίρια, ο παλαιότερος Φιλεκπαιδευτικός Σύλλογος της πόλης «Ο Αριστοτέλης», η Πινακοθήκη Καλλιτεχνών, το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης που στεγάζεται μαζί με την Εικαστική Βιβλιοθήκη στο κτίριο Εξάρχου. The city’s hallmark is Sakoulevas River. On its banks we find the workshops of Florina artists, macedonian and neoclassical buildings, the oldest Educational Society of the city "Aristotelis" and the Artists’ Gallery. The Museum of Contemporary Art, housed jointly with the Art Library in the Exarchos building, is one of the most important art centers of the country, whose collection includes paintings, sculptures and engravings by Greek and foreign artists.

Whilst in town, you can visit the Culture Club, the Public Library, the Folklore Museum and the Archaeological Museum where excavation findings from all over the prefecture are displayed, covering a long period of time from the Neolithic to the Byzantine Era. In the market you can shop for traditional pepper products, beans, fruit preserves, traditional candles, etc.

Ανηφορίζοντας

προς τον λόφο του Αγίου Παντελεήμονα μέσα από πανέμορφα περιπατητικά μονοπάτια θα συναντήσετε στην κορυφή του τον επιβλητικό σταυρό ύψους 33μ. Αν σταθείτε τυχεροί, ίσως πετύχετε ζαρκάδια, ελάφια και αγριογούρουνα! Στον λόφο 1033, απέναντι από τον λόφο του Αγίου Παντελεήμονα, θα θαυμάσετε τη μαγευτική φύση και τη θέα από το περίπτερο του Φυσιολατρικού Ορειβατικού Ομίλου.

Ascending towards the hill of Agios Panteleimon, through gorgeous walking trails, you will find the imposing cross at the top, which is 33m high. If you are in lucky, you might catch a glimpse of deers, elks and wild boars! On hill 1033, opposite the hill of Agios Panteleimon, you will admire the magnificent nature and the view from the booth of the Naturalist Mountaineering Club.

Τα ορεινά χωριά του Δήμου, όπου ο επισκέπτης θα φτάσει με το αυτοκίνητό του μέσα από σαγηνευτικές διαδρομές στη φύση, αξίζει να εξερευνηθούν. Οι καταπράσινες κοινότητες Δροσοπηγής και Κρατερού με τους παραδοσιακούς νερόμυλους, ο τεχνητός καταρράκτης στην κοι- νότητα Πολυποτάμου, το πέτρινο γεφύρι στο χωριό Άλωνα, τα πετρόχτιστα σπίτια του οικισμού Φλάμπουρου και τα φράγματα Παπαδιάς και Τριανταφυλλιάς με την υπέροχη θέα, είναι λίγοι μόνο κρυφοί θησαυροί που σας περιμένουν.

Στον Σκοπό υπάρχει το βυζαντινό κάστρο της Σέτινα, εκεί όπου ο Βασίλειος ο Βουλγαροκτόνος νίκησε τον Τσάρο Σαμουήλ.

Επιβεβλημένη είναι η επίσκεψη στις κοινότητες Ιτέας και Παπαγιάννη όπου πηγάζει το διάσημο Ξινό Νερό το οποίο είναι πόσιμο και μπορείτε να γευθείτε άφοβα. Εδώ λειτουργούν

The mountain villages of the Municipality, which visitors can reach by car through captivating nature routes, are well worth exploring. The verdant communities of Drosopigi and Kratero with their traditional watermills, the artificial waterfall in the community of Polypotamo, the stone bridge in the village of Alona, the stone-built houses of Flampouro, the Papadia and Triantafyllia dams with the magnificent view are a few among the many hidden treasures that await you.

Skopos is home to the Byzantine castle of Setina, where Basil ΙΙ the Voulgaroktonos defeated Tsar Samuel.

A visit to the communities of Itea and Papagiannis with their famous sour water springs is highly recommended; the water is drinkable and you are unreservedly encouraged to have a tasting. There are also soft drink companies operating here, which combine naturally sparkling water with natural fruit juices and transform the soft drink into an delicious experience.
