At the top of one of the two hills, over the city of Servia, the Byzantine castle dominates the landscape. The impressive bridge over the artificial lake connects its northern and southern shores, while its view from the village of Neraida, as well as from all surrounding mountainous areas, is unforgettable.

Αξιοθαύμαστα είναι το μονότοξο πέτρινο γεφύρι των Σερβίων, δύο πέτρινα τοξωτά γεφύρια στα χωριά Προσήλιο και Καστανιά, το Οθωμανικό Γυμνάσιο, που στέκει αγέρωχο στα Σέρβια, ενώ το βυζαντινό κληροδότημα της Βασιλικής των Κατηχουμένων («40 πόρτες»), ο ναός των Αγίων Θεοδώρων και το ασκηταριό τους προκαλούν δέος στους επισκέπτες. Κρυφό διαμάντι, αποτελεί η σπηλαιοεκκλησία του Αγίου Πνεύματος αλλά και ο Αϊ-Γιώργης ο Κρεμαστός. Επίσης, αξίζει να επισκεφθείτε τον Ναό των Αγίων Θεοδώρων στην Καστανιά με το χαρακτηριστικό πέτρινο κωδωνοστάσιο, κτίσματα του 1898, καθώς και την Ιερά Σταυροπηγιακή Μονή Αγίου Αντωνίου Σιάπκας, επίσης στην Καστανιά.

Outstanding are the one arched stone bridge of Servia, two stone arched bridges in the villages of Prosilio and Kastania, the Ottoman Middle School, which stands tall in Servia, while the Byzantine heritage of the basilica of Katichoumenoi (“40 doors”), the Church of Agioi Theodoroi and their hermitage inspire awe in visitors. A hidden gem is the cave church of the Holy Spirit and also Ai-Giorgis Kremastos. The holy church of Agioi Theodoroi in Kastania is also worth visiting, with its characteristic stone belltower, buildings of 1898, as is the Holy Stavropigiaki Monastery of Agios Antonios Siapkas, also in Kastania.

Λαογραφικό Μουσείο Σερβίων (Κωνσταντίνου Κάρπου 14)

Το Λαογραφικό Μουσείο στα Σέρβια ιδρύθηκε το 1998 από τον Μορφωτικό Όμιλο Σερβίων «Τα Κάστρα», επί προεδρίας Κοσμά Σαββιλωτίδη, ο οποίος ήταν και ο εμπνευστής του. Στεγάζεται στο σπίτι του γιατρού Αριστείδη Χρηστάκη έπειτα από ευγενική παραχώρηση της οικογένειάς του και σκοπό έχει τη διαφύλαξη και διάσωση της παράδοσης και της πατρογονικής μας κληρονομιάς.

Folklore Museum of Servia (14 Konstantinou Karpou Street)

The Folklore Museum in Servia was founded in 1998 by the Educational Association of Servia “Ta Kastra”, under the presidency of Kosmas Savvilotidis, who is also the founder. It is housed in the residency of doctor Aristidis Christakis, after the kind donation by his family, and aims to preserve and save our tradition and ancestral heritage.

Although the collection has been only slightly enriched, it has been operating continuously for a year and a half with the support of the Municipality of Servia and is an attraction for both locals and foreign visitors.

Μουσείο Παραδοσιακού Παιχνιδιού Λιβαδερού

Ιδρύθηκε το 2015 μετά από ενέργειες του αείμνηστου δασκάλου Γεώρ- γιου Τσιώνα που ασχολήθηκε επισταμένως με την καταγραφή και την ανάδειξη των παραδοσιακών και αρχαίων παιχνιδιών. Στον χώρο του μουσείου υπάρχει η δυνατότητα να δει κανείς πληθώρα κατασκευών από πηλό και ξύλο που χρησιμοποιούνταν διαχρονικά για παιχνίδια.

Λαογραφικό Μουσείο Μεσιανής

Τα εκθέματα του μουσείου αφορούν στη ζωή των κατοίκων του χωριού της Μεσιανής και χρονολογούνται μέχρι και τη δεκαετία του ’60. Ο επισκέπτης συναντά εκθέματα από τον Πόντο και τη Μικρά Ασία, καθώς και λίγα λίθινα εργαλεία. Ο χώρος στον οποίο στεγάζεται είναι το παλαιό Δημοτικό Σχολείο, που διαμορφώθηκε με προσωπική εργασία και έξοδα των κατοίκων του χωριού και μετατράπηκε σε Λαογραφική Συλλογή το 1999. Με τη συνδρομή του προγράμματος LEADER+ βελτιώθηκαν οι κτιριακές εγκαταστάσεις στις οποίες στεγάζεται ο Πολιτιστικός Σύλλογος και αγοράστηκε ο απαιτούμενος λειτουργικός εξοπλισμός. Ο Σύλλογος ιδρύθηκε το 1979 και μέσω αυτού αναβιώνουν έθιμα όπως τα «Ραγκατσάρια» την Πρωτοχρονιά και το κάψιμο των κέδρων την Αποκριά.

Η συνδρομή των μελών του Συλλόγου αλλά και των κατοίκων της Ελάτης συνέβαλε στο να συγκεντρωθούν διάφορα αντικείμενα όπως εργαλεία, φορεσιές, φωτογραφίες, μικροέπιπλα κ.α. τα οποία οδηγούν τον επισκέπτη σε διαδρομές του χθες, ώστε να θυμούνται οι παλαιότεροι και να μαθαίνουν οι νεότεροι. Livaderos Traditional Games Museum

It was founded in 2015, with the actions of teacher Georgios Tsionas who will always be remembered for diligently carrying out the recording and promotion of both traditional and ancient games. In the museum it is possible to see a multitude of constructions made of clay and wood, used throughout time as toys.

The exhibits of the museum reflect the life of the inhabitants of the village of Mesiani and date back to the ‘60s. Visitors can admire exhibits from Pontus and Asia Minor, as well as a few stone tools. The space in which it is housed is the old Primary School, which was built with personal work and expenses of the inhabitants of the village and turned into a Folklore Collection in 1999.

Elati Folklore Museum

With the aid of the LEADER+ program, the premises of the Cultural Association were improved and the required operational equipment was purchased. The Association was founded in 1979, helping to revive customs such as the «Ragatsaria» on New Year’s Eve and the burning of cedars during Carnival.

The assistance of the members of the Association, but also of the residents of Elati, has contributed to the collection of various items such as: tools, costumes, photos, small furniture, etc. which take visitors on a walk through memory lane, so that older people may remember and younger ones may learn.

In addition to the permanent folklore exhibition, the Cultural Center houses a library as well as the offices of the Association.

Στο μουσείο υπάρχει πλούσιο φωτογραφικό υλικό από την παλιά Νεράιδα με την παλιά γέφυρα αλλά και τη νέα, από την κατασκευή της μέχρι σήμερα. Τέλος, εκτίθεται η μακέτα του παλιού οικισμού Νεράιδας που κατασκευάστηκε από το Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας.

Folklore Museum of Kastania - Old Primary School of Kastania

It is located over the town of Servia in picturesque Kastania, one of the most popular tourist destinations of the Municipality of Servia with a panoramic view of Lake Polyfytos.

Visitors can learn about the place’s past through the stories unfolding in the rooms of the renovated school. The remarkable Folklore Collection housed there was created on the initiative of the Educational Association of Kastania in 1999 and includes a multitude of objects unfolding the history of the village, the life and day-to-day endeavors of the inhabitants of Kastania.

Μοναδικά αξιοθέατα της φύσης είναι τα Μπουχάρια και τα Νοχτάρια με τους μοναδικούς ζωόμορφους και ανθρωπόμορφους σχηματισμούς που αποτελούν τμήμα του αναγνωρισμένου από την UNESCO Γεωπάρκου Γρεβενών - Κοζάνης.
