Generous donations from the community are a main avenue to directly uplift families at the shelter. They ask that any donations be seasonally appropriate and dignified; unsoiled, free of holes, stains, and freshly cleaned. They can accept NEW clothing, NEW bedding, NEW towels, Food, Hygiene, and cleaning supplies, every day of the year between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

It feels good to actually see how our help benefits others. One nice woman told us that “spaghetti night” is one of their favoritemeals. She talked about how her children enjoy the food we prepare; and she shared how much she appreciated what we do for the center and for the families who are temporarily living there. Dick Freer and Bob Bell are “experienced hands” with this project. The number of people we serve varies each time, but is generally between 20 and 30, with many of them being small children. Want to volunteer? It’s always the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, from 5 to 6 p.m. I guarantee that you’ll be glad if you do it! Raise your hand at our next meeting or contact Dick at richardfreer1531@gmail.com.
