Editor’s Note Dear readers, I am somewhat new to the lifestyle of environmentally friendly living. I am not a long-time environmentalist or vegan and I don’t meditate as much as I should. What I do do, is care. I care about fashion, eating healthily, making a difference, and of course, the environment. Clover was something planned for those like myself. Those that want to make a positive change in their lives and can get expert opinions, ideas, and options to help the transition. The Earth needs us! What better way to help than through a trendy lifestyle magazine? Join me on the journey of health, happiness, and contentment. I promise you’ll love it. Sincerely, Amanda

Lavendar Honey Lemon Soap A natural way to bathe WHAT YOU NEED: - 2 pounds of goat’s milk melt-and-pour soap base - 1 lemon rine, zested - 3 tablespoons of dried lavendar buds - 2 tablespoons of honey
- 15 drops of lavendar essential oil - 6 drops of lemon essential oil - Jar or bowl for melting soap base together - Grater
MAKE
HOW TO DO IT
1.
3.
Chop soap into smaller pieces. Place in bowl and microwave (or double boil). Be careful to watch soap and not let it burn. If you are using microwave, heat in 30 second increments, stirring frequently. While your soap chunks are in the microwave (or double boiler), measure out your lemon zest, lavender and honey in small bowls for easy adding once your soap is melted.
5.
Once essential oils have been added and mixed thoroughly, add the lavender buds, lemon zest and honey.
2.
4.
6.
7. Pop each bar carefully out of the mold. Take a sniff! You did it. Whew.
Zest your lemon. Be sure to wrap in a paper towel and press out any extra fluid. This prevents it from clumping together in your soap.
Once soap is melted add your essential oils first.
Have your mold ready to go, on a flat, even surface. You’ll want to move quickly before the soap cools too much. Mix everything thoroughly again, and pour mixture into mold.
