1. AGE REQUIREMENT - Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend the event; Louisiana Downs maintains the right to check identification.
2. CREDIT CARD NUMBER ON FILE - Each guest must have a credit card on file to enter the event. This provides all access to bidding and purchasing through the Shreveport Regional Arts Council’s secure third-party payment system for nonprofit organizations, Greater Giving. SRAC will not have a record of Credit Card information. Call SRAC at 673-6500 in advance to skip the line!
3. BID NUMBER – Your “Key to the Kingdom” lanyard is your ticket! It has a unique bidding number, which allows you to “CHARGE IT.” All winning Bids, Raffle Tickets, Souvenirs, and Deliveries will be charged to your card (except the Live Auction wins… see below).
4. BIDDING - All bids must be recorded legibly with both your NAME and BID NUMBER. SRAC is not accountable for illegible bids! All bids are legal and BINDING.
5. LIVE AUCTION - The Bid Upon A Star LIVE AUCTION is on the Third Floor of Louisiana Downs at 9:00 p.m. The Auctioneer will determine the winning bid, which is final, legal and binding. Credit cards, checks and cash will be accepted at the time of a winning bid. If you have a problem during the Live Auction, raise your hand and an Auction Spotter will assist you!
– After closing the Live Auction, Silent Auction Officials will close each Silent Auction section. The Third Floor closes 11:45pm; Second Floor Close at 12 Midnight!
- Guests may report to the BANK, in the “Royals” Lobby on the First Floor, to check-out. However, all Auction Items willl be collected or delivered starting Monday, December 12.
(a) An e-mail will be sent on Sunday, December 11, confirming Winning Bids, Raffle, and Souvenir purchases. Please respond with your plan for Auction Item retrieval: Pick up, Delivery, or Mail!
(b) Pick Up - Auction items will be available for pick-up Monday, December 12, and Tuesday, December 13, at SRAC Central ARTSTATION, 801 Crockett Street in Shreveport, at the corner of Common and Crockett. Call in advance, 673-6500, for curb-side pickup!
(c) Delivery - Beginning Tuesday, December 13, through Sunday, December 16, SRAC will deliver items in Shreveport-Bossier area for a $20 fee charged to the card on file.
(d) Mail - SRAC will mail certificates or ship items to out of area guests. Guest will pay shipping expenses.
9. LIVE
WINNERS - For assistance in booking your Live Auction Trips, email pam@shrevearts.org, or call 318-673-6500. All trips and special experiences are subject to availability and must be booked 3 months in advance.
10. ALL SALES ARE FINAL - There are no exchanges or refunds! No items or services may be redeemed for cash. What you see is what you get! Please remember that Christmas in the Sky is a benefit auction to raise money for SRAC‘s regional community Arts programs.
11. REDEMPTION DEADLINE - Services, parties and trips purchased at the auction must be used by the deadline as defined by the donor, or within ONE YEAR of the auction date. After December 10, 2023, SRAC, Hilton Hotels and HRI Lodging and Auction Donors will not be held responsible for items not claimed. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE RULE WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.
(a) Tips, transfers, taxes and alcoholic beverages are NOT included with any Restaurant or Hotel services unless indicated on the auction certificate.
(b) No warranties are made by SRAC concerning any items or services featured in the Auction. These items are donated to SRAC and in good faith, offered to the buyer. (c) SRAC will not be held liable for any personal injury incurred in conjunction with the purchase of any auction item. 13. QUESTIONS
