Propaganda

– Propaganda is an accompaniment to an exhibition exploring the last century of propaganda in design and how vastly important the practice of design can be in both socio-economic and political culture. The publication was created with education in mind, to serve as a reminder to the design sphere to stick closely to your morals and ethics.

Idea Generation + Progress

– For this brief, the emphasis was placed on showing the posters off in a way that enhanced them, presenting a recollection of the exhibition in an easy to navigate, yet pleasing format. The symbol of the swastika was specifically chosen for this publication due to the striking and bold connotations behind it, and the story of how a once peaceful buddhist symbol was transformed into a symbol of hatred.

Home

– Home was a collaboration between me and photographer, Katie Bealey. Katie wanted to produce a series of zines based around three concepts; psychogeography, familarity and family. These zines were produced with a single concept in mind and were brought together through both process of binding and a similar aesthetic.

Self Branding

– My self branding is a battle in itself, as my tastes in design seem to evolve and change daily depending on the stimulus I’ve recently interacted with. My design identity was created with the intention of being able to evolve fluently throughout my career, as a big part of who I am as a designer is constant progress and change.

Idea Generation + Progress

– With total creative freedom on this project, I was able to really experiment both conceptually and stylistically to produce an identity that really represented who I am as a designer. The foundation of my identity was to be produced around the concepts of evolution, functionality, introspection and obscurity.

Same But Different

BUDA

Occupied No Longer is a publication detailing the cultural and historical importance of Budapest in relation to Hungary as a whole. Inspired by a trip to Budapest, this was a personal project intended to market as a design-oriented alternative to Lonely Planet, or the Wallpaper* guides.

Idea Generation + Progress

– I wanted to present my journey to Budapest not just through use of imagery, but through conveying my personal realisation that there is more to Budapest than first meets the eye. I began by using bright, bold colours to convey an unending stream of creativity and happiness, but the reality of Budapest is its’ ability to remain resilient, brave and thrive in any conditions it is placed under. Budapest is not black and white, and hopefully the contrast between black and white being used in the front and back cover and the bright imagery conveys this properly.
