From M74 J5, head east A725 towards Airdrie and Coatbridge. Continue following signs to Airdrie on B753 and A89. After passing under Railway Bridge, the next left turn to the hospital is signposted. NB – The hospital is 6 miles from the M74 J5. Allow at least 20 mins for journey to Hospital.
DIRECTIONS TO WARD: Unload at main entrance. Move equipment up ramp into foyer. To the left of the shop, continue straight ahead along corridor to the wards. Take the second set of lifts (west tower) to the first floor. note: You can use the service lifts behind the public ones! Immediately out of lifts on left is the entrance (staff only) to the dept. of urology. Press button on wall to open door. Follow corridor ahead then around to the right. Just before the doors at the end and after the windows on the right, the entrance to the treatment room is via the corridor on the right. Code for TX Room C2389Y NB – Out of hours (after 5.00pm) – Put equipment near Urology door on 1st floor then go up to ‘Ward 6’ on 2nd floor. Press buzzer and go into ward, go through 2 nd set of double doors ahead and turn left, go to Nurse Station. Tell them who you are and ask them to take you down the stairs behind the Nurse Station, they will let you through the double doors into Urology, this is the main corridor with the treatment room 1st on your left. Go straight ahead then left to the doors. The equipment is other side of door.

Alternative Way In. (Stores unloading Bay) After turning left at lights to Hospital, turn 1 st left and drive down the hill, then turn first right. Through metal gates, (if closed call switchboard on intercom they can open them) to ramp, thorough plastic doors, turn left, then right, then left, straight on to lift. Turn left at lift, down corridor past kitchen to next set of lifts up to 1 st floor, out of lifts then into Urology Department. PARKING Use the main hospital visitors car park. COMMENTS PACS access is via PC in treatment room. Mr Nalagatla will attend all sessions to advise and log on. ESWL documentation includes an ESWL referral form, which is comprehensive and may save time and reduce the need to scrutinise patient notes in great detail.
