For more than 50 years, the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, 5-Star Accredited through the US Chamber in 2014 and 2019, has diligently fulfilled our mission to serve as the advocate for excellence in Fort Bend County and beyond.
We’re a diverse community that is prosperous, resilient, creative and through good times and challenging times, remains connected though our strong sense of community. As your advocate for excellence, the Fort Bend Chamber cultivates and supports future-focused, inclusive, and engaged leaders through serving as the catalyst for a vital and thriving region, being a champion to workforce education and development and providing a competitive edge for all our businesses to thrive.
We create, enhance, and promote the thriving economic environment in which we work and live. Through our Education, Infrastructure Planning, Governmental Relations, Community Resources, Business and Professional Development and Healthcare Divisions, we bring value to our members.
Chamber Divisions
EDUCATION: PREPARING FOR A WORKFORCE TODAY AND TOMORROW
Education is key in the workforce, and our Education Division works closely with Fort Bend’s educational institutions, industry leaders and the Fort Bend business community to ensure that the human resource needs of our members, both now and in the future, are met. Our division strives to build awareness of the importance of high-quality public education and the technical and trade opportunities in our area and their social and economic impact on the Fort Bend community.
INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING: KEEPING FORT BEND MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
Our Infrastructure Planning Division advocates for transportation, infrastructure and development programs that promote opportunities for investment that encourage an improved quality of life in our region. Sound infrastructure is a prerequisite for communities to thrive, and we work to facilitate partnerships and collaboration between business, local entities, municipalities, and county, state, and federal agencies to advance important infrastructure projects.
GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS: HAVING A LEGISLATIVE VOICE
Direct access to your local, state, and federal officials is more important than ever for business, and our Governmental Relations Division does that and more for Chamber members. Our division not only promotes the understanding of current legislative issues, but it gives our members the opportunity for vital input, including legislative and candidate forums.
COMMUNITY RESOURCES: A BUILDING BLOCK FOR SUCCESS
Forming effective partnerships to offer a positive impact within the community is a cornerstone for success. Our division is a catalyst for community excellence and offers unique opportunities through a partnership with The George Foundation. Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership (ENL) is designed to engage community members leading nonprofit organizations and Youth in Philanthropy (YIP), and it shapes the leaders of tomorrow by energizing students to serve their community.
BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: RESOURCES AND CONTACTS TO HELP YOU GROW
At the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, you will meet and learn from premier business leaders in the county who can – and will – provide resources to take your business to the next level. Our Business and Professional Development division puts you in direct contact with top level executives sharing decades of experience.

Our division promotes economic innovations in healthcare that benefit both our members and the community at large by developing a network of providers who understand the importance of professional and business development in Fort Bend.
