• Riverside serves over 60,000 students with 73 schools directed by its two K-12 public school districts. Riverside also boasts several private and faith-based schools that serve a diverse K-12 population.
• The community is also home to California School for the Deaf, Riverside, one of only two schools in the state serving the deaf community, and Sherman Indian High School, which empowers Native students through opportunities to find their passion, purpose, and power at school and in their communities.
• Alvord and Riverside Unified School Districts offer unique programs that develop a well-rounded and complex student population. These programs create new pathways to higher education and fulfilling careers.

With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is California’s 16th largest school district.
