ESTINATION WEDDINGS
All Sarasota County beaches require a permit for weddings performed on the beach. Be it two people, or two hundred, you will be required to obtain a permit from Sarasota County Parks and Recreation (941) 861-7275. Permits are $54.00 USD per hour plus tax.
Additionally, if your wedding will involve setting up chairs or a tent, there is a two hour minimum. These new regulations are in place to help ensure that your special day is uninterrupted by a competing ceremony. Also note that the City of Venice allows neither alcohol nor glass on the public beaches nor parks. Larger assemblies need to call the City for reservation information and regulations regarding turtle nesting. Reservations for the gazebos in Centennial Park and West Blalock Park, as well as the Arboretum, can be made through the City of Venice for FREE. Additionally, both the gazebo and the public beaches only allow gatherings until 10:00pm. Please contact the City of Venice at (941) 486-2626 for further information.
