CMX: How It All Started

A Product of Social Distancing Covid-19 and its aftermath brought about never-seen-before circumstances for all of us. As we were all experiencing similar difficulties through 2020, our talents were being wasted due to lockdowns imposed all over the world. This left every other brilliant mind confined to the limits of our homes, sitting around chatting with family and using social media. Professional coders, designers, writers, project managers, and more were left with unfulfilled potential. But professionals from all these lines came together to utilize
their amazing talents and create a truly amazing and unique chatting experience at CMX. Humans are inherently social. The pandemic-imposed lockdowns made us all feel disconnected. CMX came as an opportunity to satisfy our desire for social connections during challenging times, uniting to talk in a fresh environment. CMX is a unique chat experience where there are fewer bots, less negativity, and a sense of community. This is beneficial to us all because, in the end, we can all be humans together. Before CMX was created, our founder, Jay00e was reaching new heights in his professional career. After being promoted to an executive position at an outsourcing firm, he was only beginning to see how decisions were made and how things happened behind the curtains of the corporate world. It was also the same time as he went through a heartbreak, and turned towards various channels on the internet to find human engagement. Heartache after a 4 year relationship on top of loneliness during quarantine can take its toll, but he stood firm in the face of adversity and created something incredible straight out of a rough patch. This was when we felt the need for a platform that could provide a better communicative experience. A place to truly socialize. A place free of trolls and robots and brimming with genuine, thoughtful, and capturing conversation.
The Odds Were In Our Favor As the founding members of CMX interacted with each other on other platforms and realized the need for a better socializing website, this was the exact moment in time the idea of CMX was born. Our ambitions had united seamlessly toward a common goal, but the future was uncertain. The presence of a newly formed organization lifted our expectations. Our chat forum concept started to evolve, with many new members becoming active in 2020. Getting new members to our site was harder than finding a needle in a haystack, but we were determined to form new acquaintances, intrigued to discover new personalities, and excited to make new friends. Groups and alliances were made, dramas unfolded, relationships changed, but CMX remained. Our collective objective was to keep everyone connected, and as a result, CMX experienced a steady incline in users as our interconnected online realm expanded.
From the very beginning, our only goal was to add valuable people to our community who will add value to the virtual setting and give users a more touching experience than any other chatting site. We started off looking for the right people to build our community. We did not forget to remain humble and always remember the real goal so CMX doesn’t become any other chat site. We decided to recruit internally, realizing we must capitalize on our member’s wealth of skills and knowledge. We could then find skilled people amongst our new recruits, building teams inside the chat life realm. This was a great way to ensure our staff were aligned with our culture and shared the same passions. Our unique approach meant CMX was slowly starting to get attention, as we gathered momentum for everything we represented in an otherwise murky chat world. The same people who thought it was a crazy idea converted into believers. Realizing CMX was able to accomplish things other chats couldn’t. For example, what other chats have drinking games?

We have created a great vibe, where despite there not being strict rules we have created a supportive culture where people are respectful towards each other and there is no space for abuse.
CMX Started Growing Organically As word spread, CMX slowly but steadily started to attract more visitors. Users started bringing along their friends. We met some talented people along the way, who chose to stick around and helped build the foundation for a perfect point of attraction. Later, we introduced different audiences and demographics who would have otherwise never purposefully crossed paths.
What Makes CMX Different?
CMX is a well-regulated community with rules that are based on common sense. We emphasize Emotional Intelligence over strict rules. After all, it’s for humans not machines. Studying the rest of the chatting industry, we came to acknowledge that strict rules make us look too stiff and tend to create an unrelaxed environment where people cannot express themselves freely. Our rules are fair and lenient but don’t force anyone to stay. People communicate seamlessly, with genuine compassion for one another. People care about making amends when they feel as if they’ve hurt others’ feelings. CMX lets you make friends in a short visit, where people will listen when you’re sad and bond to form some happy memories. Imagine the genuine excitement of entering a chat forum and laughing with others. When the groups were ambitious enough to venture into the unknown, the forum began developing into more than just a few friendships. Our mission extended to creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves, having a good time, and counting on one another. Our philosophy to share resources and experiences has created widespread appeal and encouraged us to engage in different ways. CMX is welcoming and fun with a certain aura of open-mindedness. It hasn’t been without differences and challenges, but it’s cool to see problems resolved. Users can comfortably share pieces of themselves that they would not be able to share in other chat rooms.
