South Florida Shomrim Society salutes Pillars of the Community at 25th gala BY LYNN CARROLL As the South Florida Shomrim Society recently marked its 25th silver anniversary at the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, Cliff Schulman, Aventura Marketing Council board chairman, was in the spotlight as Person of the Year. It was under Schulman's tutelage that the Shomrim Society five years ago became an AMC member. "That was probably the most significant event in the past ten years for us," says Barry Mankes, immediate past president. "Since we joined, recognition in the community has exploded along with our membership and our connection to many new friends and supporters." In addition, Al Lamberti, Sheriff of Broward County, was honored as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Sheriff Lamberti put his support of the Shomrim Society in the forefront, promoting membership in his department, by becoming a member. He has made BSO Headquarters the Broward County meeting place for the Shomrim Society. More than 300 attended the event, says Mankes, who, with past president Steve Leibowitz, served as ceremonial toastmasters,

calling themselves "Moishe & Yussle," the Yiddish equivalent of Mutt & Jeff. In addition to local representatives of local law enforcement and government bodies, presidents of fellow Shomrim Societies from around the nation were on hand. Mankes' “State of the Society Address” told everybody that "now that we've successfully completed 25 years; it's time to look into the future to the next 25 years. Many of the things that I had proposed in 2006 when I became president have come to fruition. Recognition and membership are blossoming and exploding, which will ensure continuity of the organization to carry out its motto: 'So that public safety officers of the Jewish faith may join together for the welfare of all.'" Mankes passed the presidential baton to Mike Bentolila, a lieutenant with the Aventura Police Department, who was sworn in by Senior Judge Leonard Glick. Entertainment was provided by the Raye Stevens Band. Events by Premier did the catering, the décor was courtesy of Miami Garden Florists and Stesa Productions presented the video presentation. Park One of Florida puts condo associations in the driver's seat with automated valet systems BY LYNN CARROLL Park One of Florida, the #1 valet parking system in South Florida since 2004, isn't just cruising along on its reputation. The company is introducing automated systems at some of its properties that save time for residents and help condo associations optimize their space planning strategies. "In 2008 we took several condominium accounts in Sunny Isles Beach and introduced the automated valet system," says Bijan Eghtedari, president of Park One of Florida. In addition to such conveniences for residents as automatic ticketing and the ability to call or text from their cell phones to retrieve their cars, he says, the system tallies data useful to condo associations. Things like tracking the number of ins and outs per car during the day; keeping tabs on how long visitors stay, which units they visit and which security gates they use; and tracing where each car is parked and who parked it. "These are all the little things you wouldn't normally get from cigar-box operations," Eghtedari says. Having Park One of Florida take responsibility for providing data such as this helps condo associations better gauge the performance of their properties, he says. "They can see if they don't have enough space for cars on the weekend," he says, "and whether they need to provide more space on the grounds for parking." Eghtedari says Park One targeted clients with very busy front doors and a lot of activity - particularly new buildings - for the new system. Last year, it was installed at Trump

VIEWPOINT Health-care reform won’t My cat is no fat cat cure this sick system BY SARAH ANDERSON
BY MARTHA BURK Good riddance to 2009: the recession, the Wall Street bailouts, the main street misery, and most of all the so-called healthcare “debate.” Now that the debacle is mostly over, for better or worse, we’d best turn our attention to the one factor driving up health-care costs in this country that hasn’t even been mentioned—the lack of paid sick leave. While Congress was laboring to insure the insurance companies from loss of profits, almost 60,000 cases of swine flu were confirmed in the United States. The World Health Organization has declared the global situation a “public health emergency of international concern,” and says the epidemic is not over. Early on, the U.S. government increased distribution of antiviral drugs and ramped up production of the H1N1 vaccine, and the Centers for Disease Control recommended that sick people stay home from work or school to avoid infecting others. Right. Everyone, including members of Congress, probably would say that’s good advice. But there’s one little problem. According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research in Washington, fewer than half of U.S. workers get paid sick days. What’s worse, only a third of those who get the benefit are able to take their sick days to care for ill children. Workers who come into direct contact with the public, such as restaurant servers, childcare workers, and hotel employees, are among the least likely to have paid sick days. Many are low wage workers who not only lose wages if they stay home—they risk losing their jobs. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that workers who lack paid sick time are more likely to go to work with a communicable illness, and parents who cannot stay home with a sick child are more likely to send them to school or day care to infect other kids. At the height of the flu outbreak, Mexico closed its schools—the
first step that any public health service recommends at the onset of an epidemic. According to Dr. Jody Heymann, at the McGill Institute for Health and Social Policy, Mexico could do this because the country combines paid sick leave with child-care through its social insurance system. At least 139 other countries provide some paid sick leave to workers as a matter of national law. Though some large companies do it anyway, no U.S. laws—national or state— require that workers have paid sick days, meaning workers are at the mercy of corporate bureaucrats. So much for “the best health-care system in the world.” Though the swine flu threat is lessening, winter isn’t over, and we still have many cases of seasonal flu ahead of us. The monetary cost to employers and families runs to the millions of dollars. It’s good that the Obama administration held press conferences and declared a public health emergency at the height of the crisis, but a far more serious—and continuing—emergency is the lack of sick leave. That propagates the virus as surely as food service workers sneezing into your food because they’re too poor or too scared for their jobs to stay home. The Healthy Families Act, which requires that paid sick time be provided by employers with fifteen or more employees, is likely to be back on the table in Congress sometime in the next couple of months. And unlike the division over health insurance, the country is together on this one. Four out of five Americans think paid sick days should be a basic labor standard. `Pundits say this is a time politically to leave the dogfights of 2009 behind and go for some big ideas. Clearly, this is one idea whose time is long past due. --

Be responsible... Don’t drink and drive!
It's a good thing my longhaired calico Hyacinth can't read the newspaper. Otherwise I'm sure she'd be deeply offended by all the recent headlines about
"fat cats." President Obama used the derogatory term in an interview on CBS's "60 Minutes." "I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat cat bankers on Wall Street," he said. Granted, Hyacinth may be on the pudgy side, but she has little in common with greedy financial executives. First of all, her pleasures are simple ones. Fresh water, regular meals, and a ball of string are all it takes to keep her purring. Wall Street executives are the ultimate in high maintenance. Ever since the government put the most modest of restrictions on compensation at bailout firms, they have been in panic mode. Desperate to free themselves of these constraints and protect their nine-figure-paycheck lifestyles, they are rushing to return the bailout funds. Never mind that the top banks haven't found the resources to provide sufficient credit to people who need it for their homes, businesses, or school tuition. The number of zeroes on their executive paychecks seems to be what matters most. Secondly, how much damage could Hyacinth do to the world? A few hairballs here and there on the carpet—nothing a damp sponge can't handle. Wall Street executives, for their part,
drove the global economy off a cliff. Their reckless behavior is largely responsible for tens of millions of people falling into poverty and joblessness. And now they are lobbying to block Congress from enacting new regulations to prevent future crises. For thousands of years, cats have had one primary job: rodent control. They've done it well, with pride, required no training or exorbitant perks, and made only the most minimal demands on the rest of society. In fact, recent research indicates that cats give back to us humans—big time. The University of Minnesota studied more than 4,000 Americans for 10 years and found that cat ownership reduced the risk of heart attack by nearly one third. Think having a banking CEO around the house would have the same healthy effect? Contrary to popular belief, cats aren't even all that lazy. A recent study by animal behavior specialists for the Nestle Purina PetCare Company found that cats spend only about six percent of their daytime hours napping. I think it's time to stop maligning our feline friends by comparing them to Wall Street executives. Whether fat or not, cats deserve much more respect. --

Miami Children's Hospital Foundation President Lucy Morillo and Dr. Prasanna Jayakar, Medical Director of Miami Children's Hospital Brain Institute, recently announced the anonymous donation of $1.25 million dollars to fund the Hospital's Ion Channel Epilepsy Program. "This is a wonderful day, especially for children who suffer from epilepsy and other associated syndromes and their families," says Lucy Morillo. "We are so grateful for the kindness of these donors and thank them on behalf of all the children we serve. "I am very pleased to announce that Miami Children's Hospital Foundation has assigned an additional $1.25 million dollars to support translational research efforts in ion channel treatment." The Ion Channel Epilepsy Program was established in January by Miami Children's Hospital Brain Institute to enhance multidisciplinary care for children with increasingly recognized ion channel mutations such as Dravet syndrome and GEFS+ (generalized epilepsy with febrile seizures plus), a childhood-onset epileptic syndrome. Both neurogenetic disorders present complex seizure and multi-system
management challenges that can only be optimally addressed through a comprehensive family centered care environment. "The contribution and Foundation match enables us to provide world-class care unmatched anywhere in the nation for children with ion channel epilepsy," states Dr. Jayakar. "Several seizure medications commonly used to treat other children can cause serious adverse reactions in ion channelopathies. As a result, we plan to focus on personalized medicine - pharmacogenomic studies that tailor drug treatments to each child's mutation profile to enhance efficacy and safety." Led by Drs. Ian Miller and Parul Jayakar, Miami Children's Hospital's Ion Channel Epilepsy Program is the first such dedicated program in the southeast United States and will play a leading role in a growing international network of support groups promoting data registry, interactive chat rooms, multicentered research, and advocacy for ion channel epilepsies. FIU presents "Justice After Saddam: War Crimes Trials in Iraq" Iraq's political stability and successful transition to democracy includes the prosecution of leading figures under the Saddam Hussein regime. Such top Baath Party officials, which included Ali Hasan al Majid (Chemical Ali) and Taha Yasin Ramadan, participated in heinous atrocities against fellow Iraqis since Saddam's rise to power in the late 1970s up until Iraq's occupation by coalition forces in 2003. These crimes against humanity included systematic torture, mass killings, and ethnic cleansing. Exploring some of these trials and the prosecution process itself, FIU's Middle East Society will present a lecture by Hannibal Travis entitled, "Justice After Saddam: War Crimes Trials in Iraq." The lecture will take place on January 17th at 2:30 p.m. on FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus, 3000 N.E. 151st Street, North Miami, Academic 1 Building, Room 194. Life in the City BY BARI AUERBACH ‘Resolutions’
“Happy New Year??” I suppose it could be if we decide to keep at least some proactive New Year’s resolutions for more than just the first few days of 2010… ‘Coffee Resolution’ Just when you resolve to stop being a regular at one of the many Aventura Starbucks - a study reveals coffee contributes more antioxidants to the diet linked to fighting heart disease and cancer than cranberries, apples or tomatoes. You might have thought about switching to decaf - up until another study showed decaf may cause an increase in harmful LDL cholesterol. If you really don’t care “a hill of beans” what the studies say, just resolve to spill out the coffee from the day before so when you make more - the pot doesn’t overflow! ‘Credit Card Resolution’ Just when you resolve to start leaving home without your “over-swiped” credit card – you spend enough to earn the honor
of having your limit raised. Everyone knows what credit card debt can cost in interest alone – but the chance to get a great post-holiday bargain? That’s priceless! ‘Lose 10 Pounds Resolution’ Just when you resolve to lose ten pounds – you get invited to dinner at one of Aventura’s great restaurants. But when a friend suggests trying a famous trendy diet but you rationalize, “I’d never move from Aventura to South Beach just to lose weight!” ‘Love Life Resolution’ Just when you resolve to make more of an effort to meet Mr. or Ms. Right in 2010, what happens? You invest a significant sum to join one of those “It’s Just Brunch” dating services and quickly realize “Lose Your Lunch” would be a much more apropos name…The only saving grace could be the loss of appetite winds up helping you keep your “lose ten pounds” resolution. ‘Just Keep It!’ While you’re ringing in the New Year, if anyone asks, “What’s your resolution?” you could suggest the universal New Year’s resolution should simply be: “Resolving to keep the ones we make!”

Turnberry Isle Resort & Golf Club thrives during tough times While private clubs across the nation continue to falter from the aftermath of a downturned economy; the prestigious Turnberry Isle Resort & Golf Club has weathered the storm through competitive pricing combined with the backing of a legendary resort and its long-time owners. "Right before the crash, we reevaluated our competitive set and then reconfigured our membership program to make sure we were in line with other associations offering similar amenities in the area," explains Amy Cohen, director of membership. "Where most clubs went wrong was by taking drastic measures, such as waiving initiation fees and dues for new club members. Instead, we maintained our pricing strategy in addition to adding more affordable non-refundable categories, making us an excellent value for the money." Since its inception, Turnberry Isle has always been a non-equity club with no assessments and no minimum spending requirements. The club completed a $150 million grand transformation in December 2007, which included the redesign of its two championship golf courses, the only club in the immediate area with two courses, providing yet another value. In addition, the club limits its number of golf memberships to ensure members receive their desired tee times and in turn enjoy a luxury resort lifestyle-feel. By joining, members receive a superior amount of rewarding benefits that are exclusively theirs including access to a "Members Only" dining and club lounge with exquisite furnishings and picturesque views of the Miller golf course. Whether hoping to meet new friends or make business contacts, Turnberry Isle Resort & Golf Club presents special gala events and networking opportunities throughout the year with some of the most distinguished individuals and celebrities in attendance. Tee-off on the two championship Raymond Floyd-designed 18-hole courses and enjoy golf unlike any other in the Sunshine State; use the state-of-the-art fitness facility for free; and take advantage of unlimited play and no court fees at the Tennis Center. Just recently, Turnberry Isle partnered with nationally-recognized Coach Pete Bommarito and health expert Dr. Matt Cooper, who work with top professional athletes from around the world,
to bring their advanced, revolutionary fitness training program to club members. Golf courses feature contoured fairways, undulating greens, cascading waterfalls, doglegs and paspalum grass that stays bright green year round, surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, which is all perfectly manicured daily by an experienced team of over 80 maintenance technicians who keep the grounds in impeccable condition. Golf Pro Hiro Suzuki has been a teaching professional for over 33 years and previously served as golf director under Robert Trent Jones, Sr., while Golf Director Bob Coman has a long-standing reputation within the golf community overseeing some of the most prestigious courses and earning numerous awards including Club Professional of the Year by the Southeast Chapter and South Florida PGA Section. A Laguna Pool with a lazy river and a 180-foot long, 35-foot high waterslide provide members and their children with ultimate fun. Relax in a luxurious cabana poolside or head to the private Ocean Club right on the Atlantic for seaside adventures. The three story, 25,000 square-foot Willow Stream Spa offers over 75 ritual experiences-all at reduced prices for members-and is an ideal way to unwind and renew energy after a sun-soaked day. Not to mention, dining options at Turnberry Isle are arguably the best in the area. Named "best steakhouse in town" by the Miami Herald, Celebrity Chef Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak restaurant is located off the main lobby and serves Kobe steaks and fresh seafood butter-poached and cooked over a wood-burning grill, signature duck fat fries and an extensive wine list of over 850 selections. Secluded on 300 tropical acres, Turnberry Isle Resort & Golf Club is located at 19999 West Country Club Drive in Aventura. The club presents invitation-only membership options in two categories-Golf and Social-for $65,000 and $22,000, which are both non-refundable, as well as a refundable Golf membership option for $150,000. Prices are subject to change based on membership availability. For more information on how to become a member, call (305) 933-6590.

What’s On Your Mind? BY REV. WILL KEYSER The headlines, and even the back page stories, are overloaded with reports of schemes, scams and corruption in almost every area of life; Finances, politics, sports and entertainment. Not very often do we hear about someone who has done something very special to benefit those in dire need. If so, it is short lived compared to the almost endless repetition of the details relating to some unscrupulous act that permeates our thoughts and minds. It seems we have reached the point where bad is good and good is bad! Don’t be surprised by the answer you get when you ask the question: “What’s on your mind?” You may get an instant replay of the bad news you just watched on T.V. That pattern of behavior has been going on for a long time. David reported it in Psalm 10: “The arrogant man hunts down the weak who are caught in his schemes. In his pride there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous and God’s Laws are far from him. He snears at his enemies and
says, “Nothing will shake me!” Sound familiar??? However, when it seems that the wicked are totally out of control and nothing can be done to stop them keep in mind what David also said in Psalm 55: “God, who is enthroned forever, will hear them and afflict them; Men who never change their ways and have no fear of God. He will bring down the wicked to the pit of corruption; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days.” Schemes, scams and corruption will go on unabated, for the most part, but there is no need to despair! “The Lord detests the way of the wicked but He loves those who pursue righteousness.” When what’s on your mind is not pleasing to you there is a simple solution. Just say: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24) I would be interested in knowing “What’s On Your Mind?” Rev. Keyser is Pastor of The Church At Aventura 305 931 4823

Prickly Points BY PATRICIA C. FRANK PSY.D., LMHC Almost any one can have prickly points. Those are the words or actions that annoy or frustrate you. In addition to words or actions it could also be a tone of voice or a body movement like a facial expression or a wave of the hand. These words or actions are not basically annoying but can become extremely annoying with certain people and under certain circumstances. Angry, insecure people and people with Personality Disorders have more prickly points than others. They are more likely to misinterpret the actions of others and they are more likely to become annoyed and frustrated. These individuals seem to function as if they have a hearing defect. They always hear the negative. They always expect the worst. They are suspicious of the motives of others. They judge their words and actions and find them guilty of slighting them. However, it is their own guilt that makes them strike out at others. They have been damaged earlier in life and develop inappropriate ways of viewing and living their life. They have a negative, dark view
of the world and the people in it. For the rest of their life they take it out on others. Depending on their personality, many people develop many prickly points. They become very touchy and testy. They are excessively irritable all of the time. They are always ready to take offense. They perceive offenses when none are intended. Obviously, you should avoid close contact with prickly people if you can. Sometimes, you cannot avoid these people because they are family members, coworkers or employers. Your only recourse is to modify your words and actions so that you do not trigger their prickly response to your behavior. At the same time you must learn how to modify your own internal response to them. Otherwise you are at risk of developing unwanted prickly points yourself. It is important to pay attention and be on guard because you could create a prickly point in response to their prickly points. Also, learn to diffuse your internal reaction to them so that their prickly points do not disturb your inner peace and harmony. Develop coping mechanisms to maintain your personal integrity.

BY SHARI LYNN ROTHSTEIN-KRAMER Oh yeah. It’s the beginning of the New Year. Resolutions in place. Time to eat healthier. But how can you do it without losing the flavor? I’ve been thinking about it and while I usually round up a bunch of friends and head to some restaurant, where there is lots of flavor – and calories - this year has to be different. Sure you can make smart choices like Seasons 52, and say, grilled chicken or fish at Joseph’s on the Water (954.455.6996) in the Hallandale or hit a bagel place for egg white omelets (Remember – no bacon, butter or cheese with that. After all, the best things in life are fattening). But if going out means flavor with fat and cholesterol, I may need to rethink the entire situation – at least some of the time. Entertaining at home can be fun and if you are trying to adhere to the lose weight or get fit resolution, here are a few thoughts on how to make your home the healthy, party place: Bring the feast to you: Want to eat and drink like kings and queens but do not want the hassle of the preparation? Joe’s Stone Crabs (1.800.780.crab) offers take out. Who doesn’t love them? You can even order online a la carte or packages at http://www.joesstonecrab.com/yourdoor//intro.html <http://www.joesstonecrab.com/yourdoor/i ntro.html> . Want a bargain? Hit Costco at the right time and get giant shrimp, lobster tails, Colossal Alaskan King crab legs,
salmon and more at a fraction of the price (okay, you will have to cook them up yourself, but how tough can boiling water be)? Sides of healthy grilled veggies are as easy as can be. Try putting Brussel sprouts, zucchini, mushrooms, and yellow squash (or make your own mix – it’s all good) into a bowl. Toss with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic (as much as you can stand, but make sure everyone eats it), parsley, and mix. Place on a baking sheet. Pop it into the oven for 35 minutes at 425. Voila! A little crunchy, with just the right amount of give. Blackened edges – delish! And simple. Your friends will think you are a goddess. Need something to wash it down? If we are splurging, why not splurge on champagne. Who says bubbly is just for a New Years toast? Whether it’s Champagne, Cava, or sparkling wines, what could be more festive? There are a lot on the market, in all price ranges. For reasonable bottles (which you can buy and sip all evening), check out Bollinger’s Special Cuvee (approx. $30, non-vintage); Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label is also delish and under $40. Naturally Don Perignon is a fine selection (not my favorite, but people know it) or try a Piper-Heidsieck Rare, for a treat. For a reasonable sweeter taste, try Rosa Regale, Banfi, a sparkling dolce red wine. Happy New Year! Here’s to a healthy and delicious 2010!

Mountains of debt make it tough for graduates Al Sunshine 4 YOUR MONEY It’s a tough time for graduates. Jobs are scarce and many of those who are venturing out into the workplace are facing mountains of debt. It seems that students are borrowing more than ever to go to school. In fact, some worry this could be the next economic bubble about to burst. For example, try to imagine a 22-yearold without a cell phone? It sounds crazy, but I spoke to one local girl who is in that exact situation because she needs every penny to scrape together payments on $60,000 in student loans. She’s working, but she still can’t afford her loan payments, which are about $400 a month. When this young lady graduated in May with a business degree from Becker College, she never imagined she would be living at home and making $11 an hour. Fortunately, she has her mother to help. “If I was alone, I’d be in big trouble,” she told me. “My total loan balance right now is actually close to $140,000.” That’s right — $140,000. Then there’s a nurse practitioner I talked to who has a well-paying job, which she loves. Unfortunately, her loans eat up so much of her salary that she has been forced to find a roommate. In fact, the payments themselves are almost that of a monthly mortgage. Figures from the U.S. Department of Education show the average debt for a graduate is now $23,000. That’s up from $13,000 12 years ago. This is exactly the opposite of the American dream. This is the American nightmare and, even if you don’t have kids
or loans yourself, that doesn’t mean it won’t impact you. It’s a problem that is so widespread it could very well be the next financial bubble to burst, affecting us all. For example, if you have more students graduating heavily in debt, they’re not going to be able to buy cars, or eat fancy restaurant meals, or even pay rent for a nice apartment. A recent survey of college grads found 44 percent delayed buying a house because of their student loans and 28 percent put off having children. To complicate matters even more, bankruptcy isn’t an option. Unlike credit cards and mortgages, student loans can’t be wiped out if the student gets into trouble. Not surprisingly, it’s the middle class that is most affected. At some point in time, the economic advantage of going to college for some part of the population is going to go down. Fortunately, experts say that the majority of graduates will be able to manage their debt. However, that could change as tuitions continue to rise. Experts say that ultimately, these college loans are inflicting substantial debt onto some people who are just starting off their life. It becomes counterproductive to them and counterproductive to us as a nation. One student I spoke with asked this question: “If the government can help out banks and can help out big businesses, why can’t it help out college kids. We’re the future.” Another student told me, “I feel like I’ve mortgaged my future to pursue my dreams.” It becomes a sobering reality for many college grads. To help offset the high cost of higher education, experts predict some colleges will offer more online classes and eliminate extravagant amenities on campus.

and a Junkanoo Revue Band were on hand to add to the excitement which culminated with the 3rd Annual Jester & Balloon drop at midnight. Guests also enjoyed several delicious dining options including a private buffet dinner on the second floor, a New Year’s Eve menu inspired by the distinctive flavors of New Orleans and a New Year’s Day Brunch at The French Quarter Restaurant & Bar. The sun set. The blue moon rose. The party was incredible! Happy 2010 from Mardi Gras Casino, where it’s always a party. For more information on Mardi Gras Casino, please call 954-924-3200.

WEEKLY HOROSCOPES Aries - Watch your temper this week, especially if you are a parent. Your children have found every hot button under your collar and they will be pushing them for all they are worth. If you are not a parent, you may find that some of your friends are acting like children.
Libra - A friend or acquaintance wants you
Taurus - Home improvement projects may
Scorpio - This is not the best time to set up a big partnership with your boss, employer or supervisor. Instead it may make more sense to get together with coworkers, friends and companions to brainstorm ideas from the "bottom up". You could get a lot accomplished this week through creative and active listening.
be on the agenda this week, but there might be interruptions from your work or career that separate you from some much-needed time with your family. Try to get back some time to yourself at another date if you are asked to put in a lot of overtime.
Gemini - You have a strong and compelling presence this week, especially if you are doing any kind of political or public speaking. People are interested in learning what you have to say. But in personal relationships, your passions come across a little too strongly. Cancer - You may be able to help a loved one or family member out of a financial or health-related bind this week, but if a friend shows up looking for assistance, you may find there is not enough time or money to go around. You could be forced to decide between two worthy causes.
Leo - You may be the leader or authority figure other people seek out this week for resolving a conflict. If you agree to take on the task, you must try very hard to reach a compromise or consensus, but that could be a challenging task right now. Virgo - You feel anxious and uncertain for some reason and it is your own fears that are your biggest stumbling blocks right now. If you just relax and let things happen this week you will be much better off. Don't try to push for immediate results, that won't work well.

to go with them on a big, expensive trip and you know you have other priorities at the moment. While it may be tempting to run off for a week or so, the hot energy in your career sectors cannot be ignored.
Sagittarius - You may be one of those overly-cautious drivers that drive everyone crazy this week. If you can't keep up the pace, stay off the highway this week. Seriously, you do need to be more aware but being timid is worse than being aggressive. Do anticipate delays on the roads as well. ] Capricorn - You feel a little frustrated and confused this week, possibly due to lack or sleep or "romantic recreation", if you catch my drift. You and your partner need to be a little more "physically active", but you may find that there are obstacles and challenges before you can get together.
Aquarius - You'll be even more romantic this week than yesterday, and your lovemachine is fully in gear. Lucky partners you've got there. You may find that the only drawback is that you are a little too energetic. You might have to remind yourself to slow down here and there. Pisces - You may be looking at some changes in your working conditions due to a boost in the bottom line. Your department may be getting a better budget. You might be headed for a raise, bonus or promotion, but you are likely a little over-extended at home. 1000 Kane Concourse Bay Harbor, FL 33154
