Moderated by WPBT2’s Helen Aguirre-Ferré, the panelists told captivating stories about their own unique experiences while serving with the Peace Corps abroad. Some of the most interesting were stories of their parents reactions upon learning that their child was leaving for a remote village halfway around the world after college graduation. hen you serve as mayor of a Dade County municipality and are a professor for an international university, figuratively speaking you should be wearing a helmet as you embark upon your challenging day to day obligations. In the case of Mayor Phillip Stoddard, it was literally the bike helmet he was wearing on his head that saved his life. Mayor Stoddard recently took a tumble while bike riding just outside the city limits. Trying to avoid a noxious, eye level thorn bush that was threatening to give him a crude shave, he circumvented the razor sharp plant and rode onto grass. When he

In addition to an out of sync recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by Yvonne Beckman that sounded a bit embellished, the discourteous rounds of applauses while city business was in session, and the attempt by Commissioner Walter Harris’ wife to dial in a vote in place of Harris who was in the hospital during the meeting; the peanut gallery appeared to be on caffeine overload. Dr. Mirabile was none too pleased to hear Beckman’s original version of the Pledge and vociferously challenged her to get it right because he and many others fought on the front lines to defend the meanings behind those powerful words. Bye, Bye, Brian and Vamos Velma? Could this be it for Commissioner Brian Beasley and Velma Palmer? Two commission seats are up this February and Josh Leibman wants one of those seats. Bye, Bye, from page 1 88 marathons.(26.2 miles) Yup, that’s 88…26.2 mile runs. Josh ran his first marathon in Nashville in 2001. His most recent was in June in Seattle and son of a gun his next one will be on Oct 9th in Chicago. Story is his 100th run just might be here in Miami, so he can celebrate with local pals. Josh received an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami on an academic scholarship to boot. And then he got another scholarship and went back to school at UM and earned himself a fancy MBA. Josh is a pretty focused guy and pleasant enough too and right now he’s got his running shoes and will do what it takes to become…Josh Leibman, the running commissioner come February. The Mayoral Seat is also open this election year and speaking of running, former mayor Horace Feliu swears (with a smile on his face) that he is not running for mayor again... But my good friend Horace has been telling me stories for years and I just wonder if this is just another story or if he’ll make a run for it just one more time. Here’s why I question what he told me: He’s getting back in shape, going to the

gym and jogging around the neighborhood. He is getting better in the role of the President of the Rotary. He just had some photos taken at one of those studios that photo shop your picture at no extra charge. He’s smiling a lot more and he’s learned to tell me a bunch of hokey pokey with a smile on his face. And...he’s been hanging out at Casa Lario’s, Deli Lane, RA Sushi, Don Shula’s and he’s even been seen at Carrabba’s where he meets lots of locals and I might add potential supporters and contributors. So folks, the run for the February election has started and it is sure to be lots of fun as the game of King-of-the-Mountain gets in gear one more time. Stoddard saved by helmet Oh, yes, current Mayor Phillip Stoddard had a crash on his bicycle the other day and broke his femur and was treated at the local hospital. Dr. Phil as he is sometimes called said he was pretty happy that he was wearing his helmet as for sure he would have wound up with some head injuries as well if not. And yes, it was a single bike accident and no other vehicles, two wheels or four, were involved. And yes, no other person was involved in the incident. The mayor is

Mayor, from page 1 –––––– attempted to get back onto the sidewalk, he discovered that it was three inches above the level of the grass. The bike came to an abrupt standstill, but Mayor Stoddard kept moving. After bouncing off the pavement with his head and hip, he was rushed to the South Miami Hospital Emergency Department to repair his broken femur. “If I had not had my helmet on, I would have wound up in the trauma center or the morgue,” said Mayor Stoddard. “My helmet was completely crushed, destroyed. I am so glad I wore my helmet and I am glad to be alive. My bicycling friends have told me stories about goofy accidents like this – someone hits their head and all of a sudden they’re dead. Some people think helmets are just for kids and I have even seen kids not wearing them.” After the fall, Stoddard said he was not dizzy or disoriented and seemed fine except that his right leg hurt too much to move it. After calling his wife and the police, Sargent Richmond James arrived and determined it was necessary to call the paramedics. “Sargent James was incredibly helpful”, said Stoddard. “So many nice people came over to help. Everybody wanted to call 911

but I wanted to be sure the situation called for it and apparently it did, so I was whisked away. After talking with several orthopedic physicians, some of whom suggested hip replacement, I followed the advice of the doctor who suggested we try to fix it first. Now I am convalescing with a few titanium screws keeping me together.” Stoddard says he is totally indebted to the consummate team of professionals at South Miami Hospital that took such good care of him. He is happy to be home now so he can try to get some rest. Although Mayor Stoddard is on doctor’s orders to stay sedentary while his injury heals, he has crutches and a walker and plenty of willing chauffeurs to make sure he gets to city hall for critical meetings. His greatest disappointment will be missing the funeral of his favorite uncle, Steven Kraft, who recently passed in Wheaton, Maryland. “It is ironic that I am unable to go,” Stoddard said. “I lost my father when I was very young and his brother and family really took care of my mother and me. It strikes me as a reminder of the inevitability of inconvenience. But I will certainly be right back on my bike as soon as my doctor says it is okay to ride.” And after he buys himself a brand new helmet.

South Florida Dental Arts gives you reason to smile BY NANCY EAGLETON
Dr. Jorge Hernandez and the team at South Florida Dental Arts have helped hundreds of people attain a beautiful, healthy smile. A highly trained cosmetic dentist and smile makeover specialist, Dr. Hernandez combines both art and cutting-edge science to craft the perfect smile. Dr. Hernandez has been treating patients for more than 25 years and has trained with some of the world’s top cosmetic dentists. He collaborates with his team — which includes an oral surgeon, orthodontist, general dentist, hygienists and lab technicians — to offer patients general, sedation, cosmetic and implant dentistry services. For those with damaged or missing teeth or those who are simply not happy with their smile, there is no reason to hide behind less-than-perfect teeth. “It all starts with sedation dentistry, which is key to providing patients with a complete smile makeover,” Dr. Hernandez said. “We use the most up-to-date oral sedation techniques which eliminate any of the sounds, smells and pain that might cause patients discomfort.” The team at South Florida Dental Arts, located on Bird Road, offers RejuviDent, a revolutionary alternative to traditional, costly dental implants, and is one of only a few centers in the country offering this type of implant dentistry. “With RejuviDent, patients can achieve ‘teeth
in one day,’” said Dr. Hernandez. “Whether you are missing one tooth or several, dental implants will improve your smile, confidence and lifestyle. Dental implants look, feel, and function like strong, natural teeth. They replace bridges and dentures and allow people to return to eating the foods they used to enjoy. “Implant dentistry actually promotes good oral health and ultimately, overall health,” Dr. Hernandez continued. “It’s important for people to be able to eat healthy foods and be able to chew their foods properly to avoid digestion and other health problems. Digestion actually begins with proper chewing.” The state-of-the-art lab at South Florida Dental Arts ensures that patients will receive the very best result with all cosmetic and implant procedures. “Our full-service lab does customized work to ensure that teeth color and size match perfectly,” Dr. Hernandez said. “In fact, our lab technicians meet with the doctor and patient in the exam room. The patient is part of the process, so they are always in control. Few practices have a lab onsite. This gives us the ability to provide our patients a high level of custom work at a very reasonable fee.” South Florida Dental Arts offers most dental procedures — from cleanings to root canals, oral cancer screenings to wisdom teeth extractions. There is no need to visit different dental centers to have healthy teeth and gums.
Dr. Jorge Hernandez and his team at South Florida Dental Arts help patients achieve the smile of their dreams.
If chipped, stained, or crooked teeth are keeping you from smiling, then you are a perfect candidate for cosmetic dentistry such as invisible braces, teeth whitening and veneers. For a total smile makeover, South Florida Dental Arts also offers its patients Botox and Juvéderm. During a complimentary consultation, Dr. Hernandez will explain the alternatives, advantages and benefits of each proposed treatment, as well as the fee and time commitment. To inform patients about the benefits of cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry, South Florida Dental Arts conducts educational seminars. Patient comfort is first and foremost at the
South Florida Dental Arts. The waiting room and patient rooms have relaxing chairs and televisions and the spa-like setting puts patients at ease. Coffee and refreshments are served and the friendly, bilingual staff led by office manager Annie Hernandez caters to all of your needs with care and understanding. South Florida Dental Arts welcomes most PPO dental insurance plans and offers convenient payment plans and affordable financing for most elective procedures. The center is located at 6080 Bird Rd. and the phone number is 305-665-6564. For more information, visit online at <www.southfloridadentalarts.com>.

SoMi Boutique Owner Roman Compte had no idea when he awakened around 5am on a recent Saturday morning to go “treasure hunting” that he would end his adventures combing area garage sales for unique jewelry and collectibles with quite the find: a 200 year old Bavarian Catholic Rosary bead necklace. “I think God works in mysterious ways and the way it all happened, from me finding the rosary to encountering the perfect person to donate it to, it was like something out of the Twilight Zone. It is a reminder to me that God is always around and we should be careful what we do. Even though we may be going through difficult times we must remember to love one another and we should forget about money worries. It is the feelings and love that matter in this life,” suggests a philosophical Roman. Roman says when he spotted the necklace at an estate sale in Coral Gables hosted by the niece of the owner of the cross who had recently passed away; he was struck by the elaborate filigree work and translucent red stone beads. “It was a very large estate sale and the owner was from New Orleans, Louisiana as am I, so I lingered around there for a bit and made this incredible discovery. After I got home I did a Google search and found the cross and read about its origin and estimated value at nearly $2000., a lot more than the $10. I paid for it.” Roman decided to consult a theology teacher friend to advise him on what he should do with his treasure. “I am a Catholic after all and my friend said that if you decide
to keep it you should have it blessed to cleanse any of the pain that those who prayed on it in the past may have brought with them to the sacred necklace. And if you have it blessed you certainly cannot sell it so then I was on a quest to find out where to donate it.” Roman did not have to search for long. About two days after his find he arrived at the boutique atypically early one morning and was followed in the store by a regular customer, Maria Teresa Perez, principal of Blessed Trinity Catholic School. They got to talking and he found out the school and church were about to celebrate a festival in honor of the Virgin Mary. In the pamphlets promoting the special upcoming event he learned the insignia of the Virgin Mary “M” was the same initialized filigree design on the discovered rosary necklace. Roman had found a home for his rosary treasure. “The church was about to host this special event in honor of the Virgin Mary and seeing the same signature initial on the cross and in the church’s event brochures it just hit me, ‘oh yikes God is watching me, I know what I have to do: donate the rosary to Blessed Trinity Catholic School” exclaimed Roman. The cross was ultimately presented by Principal Perez to the church’s very own Mother Maria Jose Socias. Mother Socias was celebrating her 25th year anniversary and thanks to Roman Compte, and his apparently pre-ordained treasure hunt, Mother Maria Jose received the perfect commemorative present for her years of service to the school: an antique Bavarian rosary necklace 200 years in the making for her special day.

The highest scoring students in each state are selected for the pool of semifinalists. The award honors students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Head Restraints or Head Rests? It is not a head rest... The head restraint in a vehicle does not help you rest your head, as a matter of fact it helps you not to break your neck in case of a collision. It is always attached to the top of the car seat. They are only good and effective when properly positioned. Where should they be? It is the head restraint that will reduce neck injuries in case of a collision, and so it is important to have your head aligned with the headrest, but not the neck alone, as this would be extremely dangerous in case of collision. Most cars have manually-adjustable head restraints, but they all have to be 27.5 inches above the seat reference point by law. How do you adjust them? But how should these restraints be adjusted? According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, to be effective, the top of the restraint should lie somewhere between the top of your ears and the top of your head. If the restraint articulates for horizontal adjustment, it should be placed so that it’s as close to your head as possible, without pushing your head forward or causing the height of the restraint to drop. The position of your seatback is also important - less is better when it comes to reclining. A more upright seatback means that the head restraint will likely be in a safer position - one that’s closer to your head. “Let our Family Help you and your Family.”

Rabbi’s new book emphasizes importance of relationships BY ANN ROBBINS-UDEL
Moments before planes came crashing into buildings and nosediving into a field in Shanksville, PA, airwaves and cell towers were atwitter with last words and messages of love and goodbye from husbands to wives, sons and daughters to parents, engaged couples destined to never have the opportunity to marry. The reverberation of the enormity of the Sept. 11 tragedy a decade ago, the nearly constant images and sound bites in the days and weeks following the attacks, resonated with Rabbi Hershel Becker, of Young Israel of Kendall. They inspired him to look more closely than ever at the constructs involved in the architecture of the interpersonal relationships in his own life, the lives of those around him, and in the lives and social fabric of all of us. In his book the rabbi says that just as secure, strong, sturdy, substantial architectural structures require planning, blueprints and quality building materials, so do interpersonal relationships. The cement that creates substantial bonds that unites us within relationships is communication, mutual respect, and genuine caring for and about each other. For couples and families, friends and business associates, that often means being able to have meaningful conversations about differences, points of contention and frustration levels. Love Peace: Blueprints For Lasting Relationships cites examples of relationship issues in the Torah and provides commentaries that are ready-made catalysts for sensitive, responsive interactions that can enhance, promote, and clarify 21st Century relationships. The book is a culmination, of not only thoughts and lessons, generated over the 10 years since our tragic national loss on Sept. 11, 2001, but is inclusive of the influence of

It is not about you. It’s not about your own accomplishments. It’s about community. It’s about caring for others.’ The reason I am living in this community is to share knowledge and caring,” Rabbi Becker said. A phone call “briefly” interrupted the interview. His third son, the fifth child of eight in the family, called from Israel where he is studying to ask his dad’s advice, share with him what he was learning, and wish him a Good Shabbos. It was an example of the fact that caring relationships begin with the family. For more information call 786-525-6222 or go online to <www.jewishblueprints.org>.

Pink Heals Tour to make stop at The Falls, Oct. 6 BY LISA GLUCKSTERN
The Pink Heals Tour has announced an official stop at the first annual “Strut Your Stuff for Cancer” fundraising event on Oct. 6 as part of the national tour. The Pink Heals Tour, a movement celebrating women by raising money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, will be steering their two signature pink fire trucks towards The Falls in honor of the charitable event. The Pink Heals Tour is led by the selfproclaimed “Guardians of the Ribbon,” a group of firefighters, police officers and community leaders who travel the country to spread the “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” campaign, the fastest growing movement in the country. The campaign’s non-profit mission is to provide a national movement for the support of women across the country by wearing the color pink. The tour will be selling commemorative Pink Heals Tshirts at the event in hopes of generating proceeds for those affected by the disease in the community. The “Strut Your Stuff for Cancer” event will feature The Pink Heals Tours’ two famous pink fire trucks as a “rejuvenation” stop in the high-heeled walking course,

Bob Marley’s daughter writing picture books BY LINDA RODRIGUEZ BERNFELD
When you listen to a Bob Marley song, you hear his zest for life and his joy in the world around him. So it is not surprising that One Love, the picture book written by his daughter Cedella Marley teems with that unbridled optimism and zest. The picture book is beautifully illustrated by Vanessa Brantley-Newton, who worked closely with Marley on the concept. The book is based on the song, One Love. “The message of One Love is just universal,” Marley said. “It’s one of dad’s songs that almost everyone knows, young and old. I call it my happy feel better song. It’s a song I can do almost anything to.” She chose to write the first book using that song because she thought the message was important. The main character is Puncy, which was Cedella’s nickname as a child. Puncy is accompanied by her chocolate lab, in honor of Bobby, Cedella’s dog, which died earlier this year. The story is about how Puncy brings her friends and family together to transform a neighborhood. Throughout the book there are symbols of the Marley family. Like Puncy’s apartment is 56, which was the number of their home in Jamaica. In one illustration, the dad is holding his Bob Marley coffee cup. In another scene, the tablecloth is covered with lyrics. Marley worked closely with the illustrator on the book, which is unusual since most of the time the author doesn’t see the illustrations until the book is almost done. But this
time the publisher, Chronicle Books, had the author and illustrator work collaboratively. To Marley, working collaboratively is important. “That’s the Marley way,” she said. “We do talk to each other a lot. I think you see that when you see the final product.” Marley said that when she received the first book, she cried. “We have these little Puncy dolls that go with the book,” she said. “Her friends are cute, too. I’m in love with the Puncy doll.” Her mother was with her in Miami when she started the picture book and when her mom went home, Marley would call to read her the manuscript. “For her and for us, this is a way to teach the new generation and the generations to come about Dad, using his lyrics but still making it relevant to the children,” Marley said. “She’s proud of me, her little Puncy.” Marley was in her early teens when her father died. “I don’t even remember being a teenager. One day they are on tour and the next day you are in a hospital,” she said. “Your world is turned upside down. Thank God we had a good foundation. We are good people. That was the lesson. You don’t have to be fancy. You have to be good people.” One Love officially comes out in October but already is

being shipped to bookstores. The next book in the series will be based on the song Three Little Birds. “Three Little Birds is a song that makes you feel positive about tomorrow and the next hour,” Marley said. Marley is scheduled to speak at the Miami Book Fair International, Nov. 13-20. She also is going to the National Book Festival in Washington, DC.

We had a good relationship before our alliance and I always thought what a great opportunity it would be to work with them in a familial environment where we could call our store home and it has come full circle.” “We have remodeled and given our location a different look. It is now a boutique for our clients equipped with a driving range and putting green so that clients can really simulate trying out the equipment before they get on the course and know ahead of time they’ve made the right match,” says Billy Baldwin. In addition to being an industry leader himself, Billy is also a pillar of the community serving as past Chairman of the Board of Governor’s for Doral Golf Resort & Spa and board member of the Baptist Health System and Doctor’s Hospital Foundation as well as host of the South Miami Golf Tournament to benefit the Child Development Center at South Miami Hospital. “It is exciting to be able to have a ‘hands on’ role in the community and give back; especially with the South Miami golf tournament for the kids,” adds Billy. The Planet Golf family is also active with Charlie De Luca’s First Tee Miami not for profit organization whereby they donate clubs for youth who are unable to afford their own. Adds Alfy, “Local charities know they can

I grew into this specialization because I used to work on my own clubs and it really is a good feeling to see the final improved product and hear the golfers say how the changes have improved their game.” It seems good feelings abound at Planet Golf. Long-time customer Robert Sanchez says “These guys are great. When you come here you know you are getting something especially put together for you, not the so called latest and greatest. Local comedian Raneir Pollard on Showtime’s Pride Comedy Jam BY TAMMY LYNN
Rising comedian Raneir Pollard brings his “Black and Gay All Day” charisma to Showtime’s new stand-up comedy special, Pride Comedy Jam, featuring six up-andcoming gay comics. Currently airing on Showtime and available On-Demand, the network touts the special as an “…outrageous ensemble of hip and hilarious queer comics.” A natural storyteller, Pollard — a Miami native who graduated from Coral Gables High School and was senior class president (2004) — serves-up tales from his life with the attitude that there are no boundaries when it comes to his craft. Known for being a bit shocking with a touch of class, Pollard looks for inspiration in his everyday life from his current choice of abstinence to his lovingly overbearing parents to his re-enacting past contests, reality shows and scandalous conversations he’s had with his naughty body parts. “I often tell people that there is a joke in every single topic; just some are harder to find than others,” Pollard said. Pollard also likes to keep it current and always finds ways to work in a little social and political commentary. “Everyone gets so freaked out when I tell them I want to have gay kids. No fair! You happen to want a football player and a cheerleader and I want a drag queen and a lesbian tennis player!” A regular on the Los Angeles comedy scene, Pollard performs consistently at local clubs, including appearances in “ChocolateSundaes First Impressions” at the Laugh Factory and “Da Nappy Fro Show” at the Comedy Store. In addition, Pollard has built a solid audience online with his “BlackandGayAllDay” persona. This Miami native has been sharing sto-
Raneir Pollard ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– ries his whole life, so it’s no surprise that he landed on-stage as a comedian. Pollard represented Florida and earned the Runner Up title at the National Storytelling Youth Olympics at the age of 13. He went on to receive numerous “Judges Awards” at the Youth Fair for various monologues, and performed pieces for statewide showcases well into his later teen years. His passion for performing soon branched out into sketch comedy and improv as he became a standout performer in the Miami improv group “Just Kidding.” After graduating from the University of Miami, Pollard made the decision to move to Los Angeles to further pursue his comedy career and he hasn’t looked back since. 2012 Honda Civic is sleekly styled, fuel efficient Ron Beasley LET’S TALK CARS I don’t care what the national auto magazines are saying; I like the 2012 Honda Civic. It’s sleekly styled, fuel efficient and packed with the latest automotive technologically. This all-new, ninth-generation Civic Sedan has a sleek windshield rake, a sweeping roofline and a new interpretation of the previous generation’s “one-motion” profile. The Civic Coupe, with its shorter length and unique front and rear styling, has a more aggressive and dramatic look, but both have a low, wide stance and a distinctive presence. Thinner Apillars stretch farther toward the front, while the C-pillars stretch farther to the rear to complete the flowing one-motion design. As for model choices, there are many and ranging from sedans and coupes powered by conventional gasoline engines, or high-performance, hybrid and compressed natural gas engines. The Civic Sedan and Coupe continue to be available in trim levels of DX (basic features), LX (popular features), EX (full
features) and EX-L (luxury features). New technology and features include an available “intelligent” Multi-Information Display (i-MID), an available Eco Assist system and a new Motion Adaptive Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system that works in conjunction with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), included as standard equipment on all models. The new i-MID on Civic LX and above models provides a platform for integration of vehicle information and compatible personal electronics, with a driver-oriented five-inch color LCD display and intuitive steering wheel controls. The i-MID provides access to multiple information screens and customizable features. Compatible music players attached through a USB audio interface can display available track information and artwork on the i-MID, with album and track selection possible through steering wheel controls. All models, except the Si, get Eco Assist technology, an innovation that can add to efficient vehicle operation at the push of a button, while also providing visual feedback to promote or confirm an efficient driving. The 2012 Civic continues with the proven and efficient i-VTEC four-cylinder engine for economy and performance. The performance Civic Si Coupe and Si Sedan have a larger 2.4-liter engine with 201 hp and 22 percent

With a city, highway and combined EPAestimated fuel economy rating of 44 mpg, the Civic Hybrid comes with the latest generation of the fuel-efficient Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system coupled to a lithium-ion battery for the first time on a Honda hybrid vehicle. 9/11 Remembered - How One Advisor Responded By Ann Lino As soon as the Twin Towers collapsed and Wall Street shut down, Rick Tonkinson, a local Certified Financial Planner (CFP), started calling every single one of his clients, regardless of account size, to find out how they were dealing with the tragedy. Certain clients were directly impacted like Alan C. who lost his best friend, a fireman. Another client, Richard A., shared that his sister was injured in the Pentagon attack. Yet another client, Joe P., lost his daughter who was an airline stewardess on the airplane that hit the second tower, another heartbreak. With these many calls came some tearful heart-to-heart conversations that are forever etched in Tonkinson’s memory.
Because of the stock market’s dismal performances in 2000 and 2001 even before 9/11, Rick Tonkinson had proactively repositioned the accounts, regardless of size, into cash and guaranteed bond funds so after the attacks the accounts experienced minimal negative impact. In fact, Tonkinson remembers that one client, Roger
B., called to ask why his account had increased in value during September 2001. The answer, of course, was that Tonkinson had him in the right place. That being the case, Tonkinson’s calls to those clients after 9/11 reassured them that their life savings were secure despite the 30% loss the stock market experienced during September 2001. It also went a long way in having his clients start to move on with their lives. Leap forward to September 11, 2011, and the clients Tonkinson had 10 years ago are still with him today. They never forgot how he reached out to see how they were doing during the height of the crisis as he actively monitored each account to keep them out of harm’s way, something he has done every day for the past 20 years and one of his core value to his customers. It is no wonder then that Tonkinson has been rewarded with a high degree of client loyalty and, more importantly, their friendship. While Tonkinson has become very successful, he never forgets what his clients need from him: someone who pays attention to them, monitors their accounts daily and cares. He is also, for many, someone who was there to comfort them on one of the worst days in the history of our country and who helped them navigate a difficult period with compassion and expert advice. Rick Tonkinson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner who started his first job as a paperboy at age 12. Rick Tonkinson and his family focus on the financial planning needs of working people. Tonkinson Financial Inc. is located at 2398 South Dixie Hwy, Miami, FL. 305-858-1628 Securities and advisory services offered through Commonwealth Financial Network, Member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Adviser. Fixed insurance products and services offered by Tonkinson Financial Inc. are separate and unrelated to Commonwealth.
