Miss Universe Gabriela Isler of Venezuela was the one who crowned Lastimosa who also won the Best in Swimsuit award. During the question-and-answer portion, Isler asked Lastimosa, “What is the greatest advantage of a woman?” Lastimosa’s winning answer was, ‘The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose herself. Just like here,

She joined and won second runner-up in 2011 and lands in the Top 12 in 2012. She took cue on Binibing Pilipinas’ Maricar Balagtas who joined the pageant and won the title on her third try. Lastimosa is set to compete at the 63rd Miss Universe pageant later this year.

Reports shows how fatal a box jellyfish sting is and that it may eventually lead to death. The actress in her official twitter account said her doctors told her that she was very lucky to have survived such incident. “Good Morning everyone!!!! Feeling a bit better today! Praise God! After reading some of the other articles you guys found & tweeted me, I really feel I’ve been given a 2nd chance at life,” Anne Curtis said. Curtis was informed of a same occurrence as hers wherein a girl was brought straight to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Anne added, “It’s 6

Saturday started off with an invite to the private CBS special party at the famous Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. “This party was so full it was hard to get personal with celebrities” says Steve “but it was fun just looking and bumping into them”. The big day, Sunday Luisa and Steve had to be at the Beverly Hilton Red Carpet at 2PM. Steve dressed in his Tuxedo and Luisa in a black flowing dress. The black Limo picked them up and dropped them off at the Red Carpet. On the way in Luisa got interviewed by the GMA TV station and the LA Enquirer.net then in the ballroom they went. “Tom Hanks, Ron Howard and the band U2 are the first stars we noticed inside” noted Luisa. “our table is 40 feet from the stage. Amazing”. The food was great and the wine flowed. Then off to the first of seven after parties at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The first one sponsored by Warner Brothers was the best one with a live band, chocolates on the walls and stars everywhere. Luisa had a personal picture with Taylor Swift, John Voight, Jared Lito and Vanessa Hudgens. Steve had a picture with Lamar Odom from the NBA. Walking down a hallway to another party they walked by Lady Gaga Bill Maher and Piers Morgan.

Luisa Marshall was invited by Ruben Nepales the first Filipino chairman of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and his wife Janet Nepales also a member of HFPA to attend the Golden Globe Awards this year.

Ruben included Luisa in his book My Filipino Connection the Philippines in Hollywood to highlight all her achievements in North America. In 2003 Luisa was the World Rock N Roll Tribute Artist Champion as Tina Turner, 2013

Here’s my simpler approach to the basics of wellness, which will hopefully help individuals chose what path they want to take in the pursuit of wellness, cell regeneration and a living a stress free life.

Sobrang dami ng discussion about good food, bad food, exercise, vegetarian, organic, gluten free, wheat belly… There is just an overload of information and most of the time, commonsense is thrown out of the window and many individuals end up confused and caught up in the pit falls of linear circular reasoning. In short,ang tawag sa atin “pilosopong pag-iisip”. This, however, still does not relieve them of the pain and disease their bodies are suffering from. Here are some really interesting discussions on popular medical and health buzz words: Cortisol is the “flight and flee” stress hormone. When a person is in a state of panic, anxiety, worry, anger, frustration and FEAR, this particular hormone shoots up. Doctors typically refer to this as “elevated levels of cortisol”. In the morning, cortisol is naturally elevated, this is the body’s own intelligent design to wake up and start bodily functions after a night’s rest and rejuvenation period. Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that is naturally found in all parts of our bodies. It is present in the walls and membranes of every cell, including cells in the brain, nerves, muscles, skin, liver, intestines, and heart. Without cholesterol, our bodies cannot function properly. It acts as the backbone of hormones like estrogen and testosterone, vitamin D, and bile acids that help us to digest fat. Health Risks ng Mataas na Level ng Cholesterol These high levels are undesirable because it is difficult for our bodies to appropriately dispose of excess cholesterol. Excess cholesterol has a tendency to deposit into the walls of our arteries, particularly the arteries that lead to our hearts (or coronary arteries). Food labels don’t even include the daily requirement of protein, but somehow include the daily requirement for sodium and fat A stress free life, natural, preservative-free food and deep breathing are my top 3 suggestions to healthy living. Pay attention to what your body is telling you. The most obvious signs are;

The difference between LDL (bad) and HDL (good) cholesterol Cholesterol does not travel freely in the bloodstream. It is carried through the blood by particles called lipoproteins. Cholesterol behaves differently depending on which type of lipoprotein carries it. Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) deposit excess cholesterol on the artery linings. HDL cholesterol is the “good” cholesterol. Halimbawa nito ay coconut virgin oil, palm, fish oil at olive oil.
