Borders Greetings,
Our names are Fábio Lins and Vilbaldo Filho. We are BASF workers in Brazil, and we are members of the CNQ-CUT, a chemical workers union in our home country. And, like yours, our union is a part of the ICEM, a global federation of chemical workers’ unions. At a global corporation such as BASF, workers need to build a global union.
That’s why we’re here. We know Local 620 is in difficult negotiations for a new contract. We have faced the same company across the bargaining table, and we know what you’re up against. But you’re not alone. You have the support of other USW locals at BASF, of the USW International, and of friends like us in South America and in ICEM affiliated unions around the world. We will stand with you and fight for you until you win the fair contract and respect that is the right of every BASF worker.
