PRODUCT NEWS CEMCO Inc.’s Turbo™ 80 VSI Crusher Produces Consistent Material Economically and Efficiently BELEN, N.M. – CEMCO, Inc.’s Turbo™ 80 VSI Crusher is an efficient, highly productive vertical shaft impact crusher capable of processing a variety of materials includingcoal, aggregate materials and industrial minerals. Available in two models, the Turbo 80 offers a mid-sized option powerful enough to process materials up to 4-inches wide into a uniform, cubical, crushed, high quality product. Fullycustomizable, from internal components to portable or stationary configuration, the Turbo 80 is ideal for clean energy applications. The Turbo 80 is capable of reducing GOB coal to a usable pellet and separating the burnable coal for CFB combustion. With the Turbo 80, CEMCO provides GOB crushing solutions to some of America’s cleanest waste coal burning plants and provides an extraction method to recover energy. The standard Turbo 80 features a single-drive motor with input horsepower capabilities up to 400. A compact yet powerful option, this model weighs in at 19,000pounds and is able to produce throughputs up to 275 TPH. Featuring an optimally-balanced V-Twin™ motor design, the Turbo 80 V-Twin offers greater power input and higher product output. The dual-drive Turbo 80 is available with up to 600 horsepower, weighs approximately 25,000 pounds and offers production capabilities up to 350 TPH. Combining advanced internal components with the principles of centrifugal force, the Turbo 80 crushers offer efficient, economical operation. Material enters through the wear-resistant adjustable feed tube at the top of the crusher and drops onto an impeller table or closed rotor, depending on internal configuration. Revolving at a rate of 500 to 1600 PRM, centrifugal force directs the material from the impellor and casts it at speeds exceeding 300 FPS against a stationary, abrasive resistant anvil. The material shatters on natural impact points, resulting in uniform, cubeshaped material with minimal slivered, “slabby” product. Heavy-duty self-aligning spherical roller bearings enable the unit to handle dynamic loads of up to 163,000 pounds. The final product size produced by the Turbo 80 is controlled by the combination of rotor size and type, rotor speed and other configurations, all determined by each individual customer’s needs. Internal configuration options can be adjusted to modify product output, depending on the customer’s application and desired material. Specifically designed for highly abrasive materials, the optional SuperChipper™ rotor and Anvil Ring combination is ideal for customers processing material such as basalt, cement clinker, glass, abrasive quarry rock and granite. Alternatively, crushers can be equipped with a Shoe Table rotor and Rockshelf anvil for medium to low-abrasion material. Additional combination options are available, providing further customization options for various materials and customer expectations. By producing a consistent, ideally-shaped product, the Turbo 80 ensures higherproduction of saleable material with less waste. Not only is this more efficient and economical, it’s crucial in meeting ever-changing state DOT specifications. Cubed fines provide stronger asphalt in comparison to slivered or elongatedmaterial.
The Turbo 80 has been designed for maximum uptime and longevity, with minimal maintenance requirements. The unit’s upper and lower double-row spherical-bearing pedestal system offers the longest operational life of any VSI crusher, thanks to CEMCO’s customized lubrication system. Designed to maintain the proper quantity of clean, cool oil on the bearings, the system reduces maintenance and repairs, while increasing longevity. Furthermore, the Turbo 80 VSI crushers are equipped with a hydraulic lid lifter and Camlock system to provide quick internal access for easy routine inspection and maintenance. For added convenience, the Turbo 80 is the first crusher to be offered as a truckmounted portable unit. PRODUCT NEWS Superior Industries’ TeleStacker® Conveyor Offers Unmatched Productivity, Strength and Safety MORRIS, Minn. — The TeleStacker® Conveyor from Superior Industries is a heavy-duty telescoping radial stacking conveyor designed for efficient, dependable and safe operation. Built for high production, the TeleStackerconveyor offers the ability to stockpile 30-percent more material per move than similar radial stackers, and an operating tonnage ranging from 200 to 5,000 TPH. The machine is available as a specially configured Mine Duty model designed and built for the mining industry and heap leaching applications in particular.
A key element of the TeleStackerconveyor design is the patented FB® Undercarriage support system which offers added strength, stability and safety. Inspired by market requests for longer conveyors featuring wider belts and enhanced productivity, Superior strategically engineered the FB Undercarriage support system with enhanced strength and support in critical stress points, effectively reducing the deflection of the TeleStacker conveyor by 200 percent as compared to competitive units. The robust FB undercarriage is constructed of durable steel and features a tubular braced structure to prevent twisting and shifting.Further enhancing the safety and stability of the entire machine is the strategic placement of standard hydraulic cylinders, placed on the outside of the undercarriage for units up to 150 feet in length or on the inside for those units greater than 150 feet. The largest telescopic stacking conveyor in the world, the TeleStackerconveyor from Superior offers exceptional efficiency and high production rates up to 5,000 TPH. The unit features a longer stinger, or internal, conveyor, enabling it to pile 30 percent more material per move, resulting in higher capacity surge piles often required in heap leaching applications. As a result of the robust steel construction of the FB Undercarriage, the TeleStackerconveyor is up to 35 percent heavier than most competitive conveyor machines, leading to enhanced stability and durability. Incorporating a wide base and heavy-duty internal conveyor support rollers, the unit offers heightened safety and stability both during operation and travel –
even on rough terrain. Each support roller carries evenly distributed weight, reducing overall stress and extending the unit’s life. To ensure smooth mobility and flotation even over difficult terrain, the TeleStackerconveyor can be equipped with steel tracks and attached to Superior’s patented FD Series Axle. The combination enables fast, easy transition from radial to linear travel modes. The operator is able to simply lower the FD tracks into position to access the stacker’s radial model or hydraulically lift them up for linear travel. Every TeleStacker Conveyor is custom designed and built to accommodate individual requirements and unique applications. Superior’s team of specialized engineers studies each customer’s application and outside factors to ensure the ideal configuration for the specific application. Holding the record for having produced the largest telescopic radial stacking conveyor in the world at 190 feet in length, Superior Industries offers custom units in larger sizes upon request. The Mine Duty model is equipped with belt widths ranging from 24 to 72 feet. Additionally, every unit incorporates mine-duty 2.0 pulleys and idlers, manufactured by Superior.
