“WE NEED A FEW GOOD PORSCHE PEOPLE” to run for the 2023 California Central Coast Region Board of Directors. The salary and benefits are nothing (technically nothing) compared to the contributions you can make for the 700-plus members of our PCA Region. So this “Prez’s Corner is dedicated to notifying our membership that the nominating committee of the California Central Coast Region Board is soliciting Primary members to stand for election to the 2023 Board of Directors. We have over 400 Primary members (out of a total membership of 710 plus or minus) and we are looking for twelve members for our 2023 Board. Perhaps eight or nine of our 2022 Board members will stand for re-election to the 2023 Board. Directors are elected by region-wide voting so that nearly every Board position is eligible for a new Director. The positions include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Activities, Membership, Safety, Driving Events (Autocross and Drivers Education), Coastalaire Editor, Webmaster/Database Administrator and Director-at-Large. We always appreciate feedback from our members on how our Region and activities could improve. We believe that continuous improvement is yet another opportunity for you to step in and provide that leadership. You need only to declare your candidacy to any of the present Board members and indicate position(s) of interest and be prepared to submit a brief and informal biography. In particular we will be in need of a new president for 2023. Members may also indicate a potential candidate’s name to any of the nominating committee listed at the end of this piece. We continue to grow membership in our Region and have the requisite financial resources to do more and better activities.
