The O’side Turkey Trot will be celebrating its 18th year hosting over 135,000 runners and walkers over the past 17 years on Thanksgiving morning. The trot provides donations to 40 - 60 nonprofits and schools that serve Oceanside residents and has been recognized by Runner’s World and the LA Times as one of the top trots in the US. The event offers a beautiful course featuring fabulous public art and waves crashing along the beachside finish.

The Belly Up opened in Solana Beach in 1974 with only a couple of mics and no stage. Over the years, it became a frequent stop for legends like John Lee Hooker, Etta James, and BB King. Epic performances by Curtis Mayfield, George Clinton, The Neville Brothers, and Toots and The Maytals also are a part of the club’s legacy. Since then, many artists have stopped by, including No Doubt, Black Eyed Peas, Mumford and Sons and many more.
