Cobalt Aquarium Salt helps fish “slime up” and replenishes natural electrolytes that can be easily lost when fish are stressed. If the tank’s water quality is not ideal and nitrite is present, Cobalt Aquarium Salt will temporarily block the toxic effects of nitrite until the water quality is improved. Unlike table salt, Cobalt Aquarium salt contains no artificial color or iodine and contains calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, magnesium sulfate, and sodium chloride.
