For the fifth year in a row, Mount Paran Christian School — the largest private Christian school in Cobb County — has taken a top voting spot for our Best of Cobb contest.

At Mount Paran, the mission to unite with home and church to prepare servant-leaders to honor God, love others and walk in truth is carried out through exemplary instruction for the school’s 1,292 students in grades pre-K3 through 12.

MPCS students and staff are continuously pursuing excellence. A sampling of extracurriculars includes the three-time championship-winning middle school Black History Bowl team, as well as the Eagle Robotics team, who is once again headed for state competition. In athletics, the softball and volleyball teams have already won 2023 state titles, and

competition cheer has won their 11th consecutive state title. The robust MPCS arts program features breathtakingly beautiful productions, like the lower school’s offering of “101 Dalmatians”, middle school’s presentation of “Frozen Jr.” and high school’s rendition of “The Little Mermaid”. And, academics are nothing short of excellent, with an unprecedented 56 AP/Honors high school courses, advanced courses in lower and middle school and a flagship directed studies program.

This learning, faith development and relationship building takes place on a picturesque 68-acre campus adjacent to Kennesaw Mountain. With the new Murray Innovation Center, top-notch classrooms, arts and athletics facilities, students learn in state-of-the-art spaces appropriate to the grade level and subject matter.

At MPCS, every student is known and loved by caring teachers who are not only experts in their field, but also are strong in the Christian faith, making it a point to pray over their students. As one parent shared, “If you are looking for smaller class sizes, a family atmosphere and the academic rigor, MPCS has it. They do all that while pointing [students] to Jesus.”
