THE CONCEPT BUILDING SAMUEL TORRES DE CARVALHO, ARCHITECT
This project encompasses the renovation of a derelict building, based on the idea that the new apartments should have a sharp contrast with the relatively anonymous past of the building, in order to become truly unique in every aspect, particularly in what regards their spacial organization and way of living. The typological organization respects the tradition and symbolism of architecture and pre-existing environments, while fostering a contemporary and utilitarian lifestyle.
has elevators, a CCTV system, fully-equipped kitchens, air conditioning and excellent acoustic and thermal insulation.
Ribeira Garden is located on a corner, with two independent entrances, one facing D. Luís I Square and the other facing D. Luís I Street, and two commercial spaces. All this combined with the panoramic views of Praça D. Luís I and the Tagus River, which allows you to enjoy Lisbon’s natural light.
The apartments are not designed according to conventional models, but rather to a strategy based on the experience of space, their future inhabitants and the relationships between the “parts” and the whole. The inner spatial organization has a very clear, classical, functional structure and typology, aimed at freeing space along the perimeter of the façades to create large areas for relaxation and recreation, which require more light and comfort. Given the strongly urban nature of the building’s location, the ground floor will be reserved for commercial use.
The unique feeling of living in a home bathed in light.
