Clovis Culture and Geology at Murray Springs with Perrie Barnes and Sandy Kunzer Tour and explore the actual site where Ed Lehner discovered extinct mammoth bone fragments in the deposits located at Murray Springs which is the home of the Clovis people, the earliest people to inhabit the Americas. They hunted mammoth for food, clothing and tools. Learn about the history of the Lehner Mammoth-Kill Site. It is the first archeological site associated with Clovis culture to have definable fire hearths and 13 fluted Clovis projectile points. *Students are responsible for their own transportation to the site. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged to all other cancellations. In lieu of a refund, the Center for Lifelong Learning offers class vouchers. Your voucher entitles you to use your refunded dollars (minus the $10 cancellation fee) for another class within the same schedule. Secure the Early Bird Rate!
