Mothers and Daughters in Healthy Relationships, page 20 Elaine Taylor will present three courses designed for women acting in the role of mother to a girl(s). Each course focuses on a different age group, because as our daughters grow, so does our relationship. Grades K – 4: Discussion will be about the world your daughters live in, how you can stay connected to that world, the balance between friendship and parenting, and the foundation of a relationship for the years that will follow. Grades 5 – 8: Focus will be about establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with your older daughters. You will explore the messages that your daughters have been given to this point so you can have a greater understanding of their perspective. Mothers of Adult Children: This course is designed to support relationships between two adult women and will touch upon boundaries, communication, personal values and relationship desires. Because these relationships are often inter-generational, discussion will be about how that may impact your adult mother/daughter relationship.

Communicating in Spanish, page 3 Understanding Spanish can be important both personally and professionally. This course is designed to emphasize and promote basic oral communication skills about a variety of topics in a stress free environment. It will cover only the grammar and structure absolutely necessary for speaking. Emphasis will be placed on listening and speaking skills that will enable the language learner to understand and to hold simple conversations. Elements of Spanish/Hispanic culture will also be presented to enhance cross-cultural understanding. Taliesin West and Cosanti – 20th Century Architecture with a Vision, page 17 Build your appreciation for two great 20th century architects by touring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West and Paolo Solari’s Cosanti, City of the Future. Private lectures will discuss the works and concepts of these architects who left their footprint on history. Taliesin West is a wellknown example of Wright’s ability to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces in harmony. Cosanti, meaning against things, is a fascinating study of Paolo Soleri’s antimaterialist stance. Travel to Scottsdale with us for another weekend of cultural appreciation.

Murray Springs Mega Fauna Fossils and Clovis Early Man with Glenn Minuth Develop your knowledge of pre-historic times in the San Pedro Valley via this combination lecture and field trip. Geomorphologist Minuth will begin with an in-depth explanation on the Plio-Pleistocene fauna. After the lecture, visit Murray Springs, a significant archeology site containing excavations that revealed mega fauna fossils of large, extinct Ice Age animals.
