y 1971 Genesis were now firmly on the road to stardom, they were working on a strong studio album and had secured their necessary line-up changes. This album was Nursery Cryme, their third studio album, and the first to feature drummer/vocalist Phil Collins and guitarist Steve Hackett. Steve joined the band after placing an ad in Melody Maker that was answered by Peter Gabriel.
