“I’m really glad I took that class and met Nanci. I thought the internship would be a great experience. It’s hard enough to get an internship at a law firm, let alone as an undergraduate. The fact that I was able to get my foot in the door and make these connections is big. Nanci has been a great help,” Josh said.

The Learning Commons is a powerhouse of tutors, academic consultants, peer academic support, public speaking coaches, study resources and a writing center. Open to all students, the Learning Commons staff is dedicated to serving each student’s unique academic needs.

Residence Life

An environment to help you thrive

Kohawks have access to an on-campus clinic, counselors, wellness programs and Coe’s robust network of mental and physical health care providers in Cedar Rapids. In addition, the Office of Health and Wellness provides opportunities and empowers students to prioritize their physical and emotional health with a variety of proactive stress management classes including yoga and meditation.

Coe is located on the edge of the MedQuarter Regional Medical District, providing students with access to hundreds of health care providers.

We recently welcomed a new ARNP and RN to campus. Students should check their Coe email for more information about scheduling an appointment.

Coe’s newly restructured Student Life Office is home to residence life, student activities and programming, religious and spiritual life and student conduct. The office promotes cocurricular activities on campus and in the community that foster intellectual, social, emotional, cultural and spiritual maturity.

Homecoming 2021: Home sweet Coe Coe students engaged in excitement during Homecoming week as Student Life sponsored a trivia night and hosted a mentalist and karaoke.

NEW INITIATIVES Center for Health & Society Every student, regardless of major, has the opportunity to learn how their area of study can lead to a career in the health care field with Coe’s Center for Health and Society. The first step is to schedule an advising appointment with one of our Center for Health and Society advisors, Professor Margaret LeMay or Professor Scout Kelly! Students should check their Coe email for more information.

Construction on six new post-tension concrete tennis courts and new fencing is nearing completion!

The Clark Racquet Center indoor track was resurfaced in August. The upgrade to a Mondo-Super X Tartan surface gives studentathletes a top-notch surface for training.
