LOGO RATIONALE The bright and fresh logo colours are combined with a cool grey to project the image of a dynamic brand, at the forefront of the latest technology in our ever-changing world. The fresh design retains Nissan’s flavour that clients have come to know. It reflects Nissan’s evolution and aspirations, while having a distinct visual identity. The refreshed shade of red, dark blue, an update of the existing corporate colours – is combined with a cool greyto project the image of a dynamic brand.

LOGO ELEMENTS For the brand to communicate clearly and powerfully, the logo must be applied correctly and consistently. logo-element

The logo comprises of two elements: The logo-type and the icon logo-element. They have been set within a defined proportional and positional relationship. The logo-type, and the logo-element must never be recreated in any way, whether by manual or electronic methods. There is one main format for the logo

Boxed - horizontal. As a general rule, the boxed - horizontal (as shown) is the primary format to be used on all printed material. Please ensure you only use the master logo files from the Nissan Learning Academy server or as provided by the Marketing Department.

LOGO MINIMUM CLEAR SPACE The minimum clear space around the logo has been defined to ensure it is not obstructed by other symbols, text or graphics. The calculation of minimum clear space around the logo is based on the calculation X. X is equivalent to the height of the letter ‘N’ in the logo.

Unless you are dealing with a special application, the clear space (shown here) must be adhered to at all times. The preferred position for the logo in any format is on the top right. If circumstances do not allow this, the logo may be aligned differently as long as these clear space guidelines are adhered to.

LOGO MINIMUM SIZE To ensure the logo is always visible, it must not be reproduced less than the minimum sizes shown. As always, let common sense be your guide in maintaining the logo’s legibility.

Offset printing For the horizontal format to be legible, the height of the logo-symbol must be at least 10mm. For the boxed format to be legible the width of the logo-symbol must be at least 20mm. 10mm

LOGO BLACK AND WHITE It is recommended that the logo appears in full colour. However, on occasion, it might be necessary to reproduce the logo in black or white.

Whenever possible, the full colour logo should be used. However, where the use of the preferred colour is neither possible nor suitable due to restrictions on cost, sponsorship criteria or manufacturing methods, the black or white versions can be used. PHOTOGRAPHY DO’S Images portray key aspects of the Nissan Learning Academy brand. For this reason, selecting the right images is extremely important. We have adopted photography as our primary image style, as it conveys a dependable brand, focused on excellent service delivery and best-of-breed solutions. Our concept photography style can be categorised as follows: Dynamic consultants: Friendly, helpful consultants in a slightly more casual environment, yet always professional and approachable. In action/on the move: Business orientated imagery, displaying dynamism and forward thinking in a more formal environment. The client / Nissan Learning Academy relationship: People focused, warm and friendly while portraying trust, partnership and support Technology: The interaction with technological devices. The imagery has a strong focus on innovation without becomming too futuristic or unreal. City scape / Urban city: Imagery of modern, colourful and vibrant city scapes can be used to portray speed, agility and dynamism. Simple: All imagery should portray an easily understood concept. This check-list serves as your guide when extending your search to external image libraries or commissioning a photoshoot. It is impractical for any image to encapsulate all the qualities we look for, just one or two will do.

DON’TS Here are some examples of images which do not reflect the aspects of the Nissan Learning Academy brand, and should never be used in our brand communications. 1. Graphs are a pictorial way of displaying complex information. When choosing colours for graphs please follow the steps.

SUPPORTING GRAPHICS ICONS Standard icons are created with a uniform style in corporate red and corporate grey. Standard icons are created with a uniform style in corporate red and corporate grey. They clearly communicate a concept or service. They are designed to deliver clarity to Nissan Learning Academy’s schematic diagrams as shown in example 1. Icons can be modified to use a secondary supporting colour in place of corporate red, as shown in example 2. When icons are used on a solid background colour they may appear as a reverse white out, as shown in example 3.

D. typography: The minimum size for typography within the graphs should be 6pt and follow the same style as the body copy of the typography structure as seen on page 38 of this section.

E. size: The size of a schematic diagram should be determined by the amount of information that needs to be depicted. A schematic diagram should preferably be sized to fit two or three columns in the collateral wire frame (see Pages 37 – 40 of this section).
