Henri Lamy est un peintre figuratif français, né le 10 décembre 1985. Formé à la peinture à l’huile, Henri Lamy a récemment été séduit par l’immédiateté et la spontanéité de l’acrylique. Son travail se porte sur le portrait,car c'est pour lui l'aspect majeur de la communication entre les hommes. Pour lui, le visage est le miroir de l'âme, et témoigne de nos expériences. Les glacis, le dripping, comme les quasi bas-reliefs, obtenus au couteau s’entremêlent et se conjuguent, dans la spontanéité de l’instant, grâce à un séchage quasi immédiat. Initié très jeune par son père, Henri est un admirateur de Pollock et du « dripping » (laisser aller le couteau en le faisant goutter au dessus de la toile). Ainsi la toile peut paraître abstraite de près, et figurative lorsqu’on s’en éloigne. Il est membre du collectif artistique 59 Rivoli (ancien squat artistique racheté par la ville de Paris, rassemblant plus de 30 artistes), et expose actuellement à Beijing (en collaboration avec Co-Existences, et Fei Gallery). Il allie son travail avec la decouverte d'autres pays (Russie, Japon, Chine, Philippines), car voyager et découvrir de nouvelles cultures lui permettent d'avoir de nouvelles inspirations.

Henri Lamy is a french figurative painter, born December 1985 10th. His works are mainly about portrait, because it is the main aspect of human experience to him. To him, our face is the mirror of our soul, the past experiences we lived, and who we are. Being used to paint, thanks to his father, when he was a kid, Henri admires Pollock « drip painting » technique (that consists in droping paint from the palet knife he uses, straight to the canvas, or even throwing it). Seduced by acrylic painting, the quality of his work is enhanced by the sharp and expressive colours of his compositions, abstract when you are close, getting figurative when you go further. He became part of the 59 Rivoli (old art squat, that now belongs to the city of Paris, gathering more than 30 artists), and currently exhibits in Beijing (in collaboration with Co-Existences and Fei Gallery). He combines his works with the discovery of other countries (Russia, Japan, China, Philippines), because travelling among different cultures enables him to have new visions, new inspirations.
