More about ‘The Student Body’ As the world health organization declares obesity a global epidemic, countries like the United States are taking drastic measures to solve the crisis, especially with the youth. Desperation and ignorance have led to what some experts call "a culture of shaming and blaming." Government mandated BMI tests of school children and 'Fat Letter' initiatives are a perfect example of this, sparking a heated national debate among parents, schools, students, lawmakers, and physicians. Tackling this controversial issue like no other story, The Student Body strikes a chord with a nation filled with concern, confusion, division and questions.
