Founded in New York by two fashion and beauty executives with the intent of giving women and artists across the world the opportunity to discover their individuality. The name is inspired by the French word “douce”, which means soft and elegant. Q1. Who founded the brand? Doucce was not founded by an individual, but a team of cosmetic and haircare executives with over 50 years of combined experience in the industry. The brand is a collaboration inspired by makeup that is high quality, easy to use, and something you’ll be proud to have at top of your vanity or beauty bag. Q2. What inspired the launch of the brand? Doucce was inspired by the need to create a brand that put the user in control. The focus on product has always been innovation and use. We produce makeup that is easy to use, flexible, and enhances your own unique beauty.

Q3. What are your plans for the furture? Doucce has been inspired by the voices of our own customers. We’re inspired by the movements around us and that continues to inspire our product offering. When we launched our Freematic System - a mix and match palette system for eyeshadows, highlighters, blush, and more - it was with the idea that we’d be the perfect companion to the individual woman. That in mind, we’re continuously developing new products that fulfill a wide variety and range in color and perform at the highest levels to both beautify and enhance your natural palette. 28
Q4. What has been the most fun product to imagine, create and market? By far, the Freematic System. It took us a few years to get it right and find the right tools and ingredients to make the best possible version of the product we could. We love that the product stresses selfexpression and individualization in a major way. Letting people play with color and showing off their true selves has been a dream come true.
Q5. What are Doucce’s brand values? The Doucce brand motto and philosophy is “Discover Your Individuality”. This is a message we push aggressively. It emphasizes the fact that Doucce wasn’t created to conform to beauty standards, it was created to aid in the definition of one’s own self and look. 29

CONTEMPORARY DESIGN SO WHAT’S CHANGED? • Our new boxes overall use less cardboard but are still sturdy. We used a bit of clever technology to increase density and give a new sharp-edge finish to our new boxes. All of which ensures your beauty treats are safe, secure and a little bit more sustainable. • We loved our signature hand-tied ribbon, but we had to say goodbye, surprisingly the fabric of the ribbon contained plastic. • We swapped the laminate on the exterior of the box and opted for a chic matte finish to reduce the use of plastic.
