NEW - MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS
Are you ready to inspire your kids to become their best selves, to do great things, to show them how to put their faith in action? Then get ready for Mission Possible Kids! It's exciting. IT'S REAL!
Mission Possible Kids empowers kids to become agents of change—in their own lives and the lives of others. Agents accomplish ”hands-on” TOP SECRET missions such as: stocking food banks, making gifts for kids in hospitals and shelters, helping nursing home residents, helping at animal shelters, and much more. MPK has helped over 5 million people worldwide!
Mission Possible Kids helps grow kids spiritually by doing God’s work; helps get parents more involved (everyone wants to be a secret agent!); attracts new families to your church as your kids get excited to bring friends; brings a heart touch and resources to people in your community who desperately need it, all coming from the children of your church. Helps kids inspire the rest of your church to get active in missions!
In the “doing” of God's work—the way kids learn best—your Agents (kids) develop:
• Compassion elf confidence and self esteem
• Respect for self and others
• Strong work ethic
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Expanded worldview
• Leadership skills
• Positive outlook
• Resilience
• Bond to community and beyond
Mission Possible Kids TOP SECRET Missions
Get all the mission plans you need, all designed to show elementary-aged kids how they can become “agents of change.”
Each Mission Possible Kids Mission includes:
• Director’s Plan—The project overview, Bible verse, supply list, and all the behind-the-scenes preparation steps to get everything ready to go. The last step shows you how to estimate the number of lives touched to help your kids understand their impact.
• Agent Handler’s Plan—The week-by-week breakdown that shows leaders how to teach the lesson and work the mission. If you’re planning to meet less often, simply drop out some of the extra activities.
• Templates—Easy-to-print worksheets, gift tags, cards, and game sheets.
• Photos—Sample photos to show the kids the people (or animals) your project may help. Just drop them in PowerPoint and you’re good to go.
We’re on a mission!
•An innovative way for kids to make a huge impact in their community and their world
•4-week missions or choose one per month
•For grades K–6
•For small groups (1–4 people) and larger groups (5 or more people)
Planning Your Mission Calendar ick o the first hour lon meetin of each year with ent rainin and end the year with a party to celebrate all that a ents have done in od s service. any roups opt for a food bank collection every hanks ivin as well. hen, fill in other months with any of the other great MPK missions.
Mission Possible Kids Supplies
Gather project supplies on your own. All projects require basic school supplies that you likely already have in children’s ministry—crayons, markers, pencils, glue or glue stick, and scissors. You will need paper and cardstock to make copies as directed. he other supplies needed vary by pro ect. hese are usually simple, ine pensive craft or o ce supply items, such as chenille stems, Scotch tape, sharp scissors for adult use, etc.
To reduce your supply budget for some missions, we recommend that you set out a collection box to gather inexpensive items you might need in larger amounts or donations from sponsors so that your kids can make a bigger impact than your budget alone might allow.
Mission Tracker
A big part of why Mission Possible Kids works is over time kids begin to understand that working together they can make a HUGE impact in lives touched. The Mission Tracker helps you do that. The Mission Tracker can take any form you like, as long as it enables agents to see their progress in a visual way. Got a creative bent? Create a human-sized magnifying glass (or show one in ower oint) where the stem fills in more and more each month reflectin the lives touched. pdate the chan in total in the circle of the ma nifyin lass each month. nveil last month s pro ress at the first meetin of each new month.
Inside Your Launch Kit ere you ll find everythin else you need to run an action packed Mission Possible Kids program:
• Logos and forms—The MPK logo (.jpg and .eps).
• Promotion Star Chart to track agent promotions—A step-by-step guide to using the Promotion Star Chart, Promotion ertificates, and rank info.
• Spy Games—Team-building activities to use all year long.
• MPK Coloring Pages—Your agents can choose their favorite Spy5 alter-ego.
All Systems Go!
Your kids are going to have a blast in MPK. ut more importantly, you are instillin in them selflessness, compassion, and an understanding of what it truly means to be called to serve. You are forever changing their lives so that they can change others

Rotation Stations
Rotation teaching is popular, and for good reason As children visit a different learning station, each week, they will explore each unit’s story—through art, cooking, games, missions, science, spiritual practices, and/or storytelling. As a result, each Bible story and its meaning will stay with them for life! Busy volunteers will love using their specialized skills without a huge time investment—they plan once, then teach the same lesson for several weeks to different age groups.
Rotation Stations is flexible—purchase and download a full unit (all seven stations/weeks) for deeper, more engaged learning. Or, for a shorter rotation, choose one or more of the seven individual station downloads available for each unit. Makes a great midweek resource!
All stations are divided into three age categories: All Children, Younger Elementary, and Older Elementary. Cokesbury.

NEW LIFT (LIVING IN FAITH TOGETHER)
What will your church offer for spiritual formation this year This could be the time to try an intergenerational approach LIFT brings generations together around a table for four activities: share food (Breaking Bread Together), enjoy fellowship (Playing Together), worship (Praying Together), and study the Bible (Studying God’s Word Together). When generations mutually invest in one another, Christ-centered relationships grow and intergenerational ministry is born. ou can invite two or more generations to learn in small groups around tables where 1–2 key leaders prepare and guide sessions.
There is no set order for using LIFT resources. Churches choose themes based on the desired topic and/or Scripture. Sessions within themes are not cumulative, so churches choose the sessions they desire within each theme.
Sessions include step-by-step instructions for preparing and leading each of the four activities. Sessions are led by one or two facilitators and take 45–60 minutes depending on the activities chosen.
LIFT can be used in Sunday school, special gatherings, off site events, midweek, summer, Advent, Lent, dinner time, at home, and VBS. GenOn Ministries.

Follow Me Curriculum
Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living is a curriculum that is based on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. Written for people of all ages who wish to live out their faith, this new curriculum examines where these practices are found in the Bible and how they have been used in Christian faith then and now. Westminster John Knox Press.
The Children’s Leader Guide, the Multi-Age Leader Guide and the Youth Leader Guide contain helpful information for leaders about the practice, the sessions, and supplies; background information about the practice; at-a-glance activity symbols; reproducible/emailable resources; and more. The Adult Leader Guide contains a summary of the practice and the four (or si ) sessions, back round information, activity and discussion options, and leader preparation. he dult eflection uide is a workbook or journal for adults that allows for self-guided study of the practice. The Congregational Guide provides materials for the pastor, educator, and church leaders to connect the practice with congregational worship and life.
Make Peace - Make Peace focuses on Jesus’ words in the Beatitudes, which have been the centerpiece of Christian social ethics for centuries. This 4-session unit focuses on these peacemaking skills: cultivating inner peace, seeking to understand where others are coming from, and having the courage to overcome fear.
Practice Generosity - Biblical teachings describe the practice of generosity as simply, and profoundly, love in action. This 4-session unit shows us how to practice generosity by caring for our neighbors’ mind, body, spirit, and life in the community. One may not have a penny to give but can still be plenty generous.
Forgive - e for ive because od first for ives us. hen we for ive one another, we let o of an er over wron we let go of a desire for getting even; we let go of the burdens of shame and guilt. This 4-session unit shows us that to forgive is not to forget; it is an active decision to not live in the past and to build toward a future.
Go Tell - Go Tell demonstrates to us a practice of sharing a gift in love. The stories for this 4-session unit are grounded in the prophecy and events surrounding the birth of Jesus, and so are ideal for Advent, yet this story isn’t one that should just live in the month of December. God’s people can, and should, share this good news every chance we get.
Honor Sabbath - n a uick movin world filled with routines, the abbath can often become ust another day of the week. This 4-session unit shows how it is so much more than that. Honoring Sabbath recognizes this rhythm of work and rest and places the Sabbath at the center of our faith practice.
Sing a New Song - This 4-session unit explores how God’s people use song in moments of liberation, tribulation, and transformation to witness God’s new creation being revealed in their midst. Songs and hymns remain with us throughout a life of discipleship, as music reinforces memory and inspires in ways words cannot.
Love God, Neighbor, Enemy - Love of God and neighbor is not fully expressed if we are only loving when it is convenient or comfortable. In this 6-session unit, participants will learn how the imperative to love enemies, just as we love God or our neighbor, is throughout Scripture.
Do Justice - In this 4-session unit, learn that the desire for fairness in the world around us is deeply held. Participants will find that cripture is filled with the themes of liberatin ustice in many forms, always returnin to the need to bridge the gap between the world as it is and the world toward which God calls us.
Pray - Prayer relies on our belief that God cares for us and hears us. This belief shapes us. In this 4-session unit, we share our pain, we hear other people’s pain, and are invited to pray for and with them. As we give thanks, we realize how much we truly have to be thankful for and grace is revealed.
