About the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute Trudl Zipper Dance Institute is home to the nation's leading faculty in ballet, tap, and modern, delivering the highest caliber dance education. Colburn's 300 Youth Dance students, ages 5 to 18, participate in specific progressive learning programs in ballet, tap, and modern dance that are designed to develop their artistry and technical skill. The rigorous Dance Academy curriculum, led by Dean Margaret Tracey and Associate Darleen Callaghan, prepares a select group of 20 talented young dancers for careers as dancers, focusing on classical ballet while providing instruction in other styles. By exposing students to the great art of Los Angeles, the Dance Academy also gives its students the tools they need to find a new richness in their dancing and become artists.
Thank You Today’s performance is made possible by contributions from members like you. Generous support is provided by donors to the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute. Special appreciation goes to the Colburn Society members whose annual support of dance makes programs like this at the Colburn School possible, as well as the extraordinary scholarship support of Ann Moore, David Kobrin, and Michael S. Turner. To learn more about the Colburn Society, please visit colburnschool.edu/colburnsociety or contact the Philanthropy department. philanthropy@colburnschool.edu 213-621-4512
