Continental Climate TEMPERATURES: Vary greatly: -Winters extremely cold. -Summers are hot.
PRECIPITATION: Generally occurs in summer. It is wetter on the coast than inland.
Continental Landscape VEGETATION: Taigas are in areas where winters are long and harsh, and summers are short and cold. Prairies are found on inland.
