PALEOLITHIC (paleolithic man)


During this time we used tools made of stone. There were not many humans at this time and we were spread out rather than living close together. Experts think there were no more than 1 million of us living. During any time of the paleolithic era, our men spent the days hunting while our women gathered nuts and berries. We lived in tribes within 2 or more families. We also used fire to cook our food and keep us warm. Art was very important to our culture and we left many cave paintings behind. We usually painted the big animals that we would hunt, like mammoths. You can still see these cave paintings throughout Europe and learn about us and our people.


NEOLITHIC (neolithic man)


My name is Alex, I am sedentary, I live in fixed location, create tribes, we use rustic clothes because we do with animal skins. We invented the metal to make weapons for hunting and agriculture. Our homes do with straw, reed, mud and other lightweight materials. We built megalithic monuments such as dolmens and menhirs. We also invented barter to exchange goods. Our most important factor is the domestication of animals and plants reproduction. Megalithic monuments were built in honor of the Gods.


MESOPOTAMIA (Nabucodonosor II)


I was born in 634 BC in Babylon and I died in 562 BC in Babylon of Iraq. I lived in the neo-babilonian empire and also occupied space of the Assyrian Empire. I occupied Jerusalem three times, but king Jeh of Jeocakim of Judah regained the city. The second time I conquered the city I punished Babylon. The third time I conquered Jerusalem, I was sent to destroy the city and the temple.


EGYPT (Ramses II)


I’m Ramses II. I was born in 1290 (BC). I went first pharaoh of dinasty XIX. I was the most important pharaoh of Egypt. My mandate was famous for victory that I gained over the Hittite troops in the town of Kadesh and much places. They did a poem about my victory at Kadesh that became a very famous poem in old Egypt. Thirteen years later, I sign an agreement of peace. And I was died in 1213 (BC)


GREECE (Pericles)


I was born in 495 BC and died in 429 BC because of the plague. I was a very important politician and orator in Athens. I lived in Greece. I invented the democracy in Greece, but the sleves don’t vote. I promoted the arts and literature. An historian named me the first citizen of Athens. I had 2 children and their names were: Jantipo and Paralo. After I died in 429 BC, the atheniens continued to have the democratic style of government, put into place.


ROME (Julius Caesar)


My name is Gaius Julius Caesar and I was a politician and General of the Roman Empire. I was born in the 12 July 100 BC in Rome and I was assassinate on 15 march 44 BC. In 61-60 BC I served as governon of the Roman province of Spain. The following years I was appointed governon of Roman Gaul, where I stayed for 8 years, adding the whole of modern France and Belgium to the Roman Empire. Then I returned to Italy, disregarding the authority of the senate and famously crossing the Rubicon river without disbanding my army. In the ensuing civil war I defeated the Republican forces. Pompey, their leader, fled to Egypt, where he was assassinated. I followed him and became romantically involved with the egyptian queen, Cleopatra. Now I was master of Rome and I made myself Consul and dictator. A group of these, led by Cassius and Brutus, assassinated me on the Ides of march 44 BC.


CELTS AND IBERIANS (Viriato)


For seven years, until 139 BC, Rome kept attacking until I was killed by my peer. In 150 BC, the Roman Praetor Galba summoned me to an alleged distribution of land, we should go without arms. I died in 139 BC, in Monte Herminius, and never knew when I was born. I died unjustly by my peers. Today I am an indisputable figure in the history of Portugal. However no shortage of theories that argue in spanish territory.


TARTESSOS (Argantonio)


My name is Arganthonio, I was a king of ancient Tartessos. My name derives from the etruscan name “arcnti”. I was born in 670 BC and I died in 550 BC. I sent one thousand and 5 hundreds kg. of silver to my allies. I owned mines in Spain. My precious metals and coins that were exported from my kingdom eventually brought about the collapse of the Persian monetary system. The Bible and other ancient stories tell of rich fabrics leather, peacocks, ivory and exotic foods and spices that were provided to my times via the “ships of Tartessos”.


VISIGOTHS (Leovigildo)


Hello, my name is Leovigildo and I was born in 525. You can say I converted the visigothic kingdom into a Hispanic state with the capital in Toledo. I undertook several military campaigns in Spain. At the beginning of my reign I undertook campaigns against the Byzantines with little success. I was succeded by my son Recaredo in 589 before I died in 586 in Toledo.


MUSLIMS (Abderraman III)


I’m Abderraman I, also called “the emigrant”. I was born in a place near Damascus (Syria) in 731 and I died in Cordoba in 788. I was the grandson of Caliph Hisham. For five years, I travelled from one place to another in Africa, to find refuge among the Berber of Nafra, near Ceuta, which was where my mother was born.After my time in Africa, I eventually went to Al-Andalus and I was the founder of the muslim dinasty that ruled most of Iberia for almost 3 centuries. My 32 year reign of Al-Andalus was quite turbulent with continous rebellions. I managed to stay in power with the support of a good army, formed mostly by berber mercenaries. One rebellion led by followers of the Emir, ended my reign in 759.


CHRISTIANS KINGDOMS (Catholic Kings)


I’m king Ferdinand, the catholic king and my wife is queen Isabella. We were recognized as the Catholic King + Queen by Pope Alexander VI in 1439 for helping to defend the catholic faith in our kingdoms. Our court move constantly to gain support for the crown from local feudal lords. I was very good with foreign policy and I colaborated with the pope. I took control of the cities of Rosellon, Cerdeùa and Napoles. I also conquered the north of Africa. I fought against the turks and I made friends with the anti-French monarchies.
