How to Wear High Heels Pain Free We all love wearing high heels– it’s virtually impossible to turn down a new pair when you see some of the cheap shoes over at www.ikrush.com. However, walking around in your favourite pair of fabulous heels shouldn’t have to be a case of style over comfort and your feet shouldn’t be begging for a foot spa after just a couple of hours of wear. Women have taken the ‘grin and bear it’ approach to heels for far too long and it cannot continue! Here are some great tips that will ensure you can wear the shoes you love pain free.

Know your Foot Type Knowing your foot type will mean you can pick out high heels that are suited to your feet. Do you have a flat foot or a high arch? The best way to find out is to visit your local podiatrist; however, there is also a simple method you can do at home called the wet test. Fill a shallow pan or tray with some water, wet the sole of your foot, and step onto a piece of plain, heavy paper. The imprint will show you whether you have a normal (medium) arch, flat arch, or high arch.

Get the Right Size It goes without saying that wearing the right size of shoe helps greatly with comfort, but it’s important that you measure your feet before every pair of shoes that you buy. ‘But I know what size I am’ I hear you say. shoe size can alter by as much as one size. Take a tape measure to your feet and always refer to the online size guides.

Change It Up It is important for your feet that you do not step out in a pair of stilettos every day. Thin heels are generally unstable and you will find your feet doing a lot of wobbling, so try to save them for special occasions, or when the outfit demands them. If you’re going to be wearing heels daily, add some variety by wearing wedges or thick heel boots.

Take a Break One of the tricks of the trade for serial high heel wearers, kick them off whenever you can. If you’re sat a desk at work, eating lunch at a restaurant, or travelling on the train or bus, take off your shoes and give your toes and ankles a stretch.
