HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Neighbours who hitherto hadn’t spoken although they had lived cheek by jowl for a decade started to communicate (at a safe distance) and got to know one another. Many streets have regular meetings for coffee to chat, make music, celebrate events, each in their own garden safe from infection but enjoying the companionship and connection. Children have painted and displayed rainbows to say thanks to the NHS. Many people have renewed old friendships as a result of lockdown - albeit virtually.
