Policy The M2 Style Guidelines is constantly being updated as new elements are created and developed. Once new element is approved it will be added to this guide.

The creators retain the use of any materials contained in this guide for promotional purposes for personal portfolio.

The use of trademarks, logos and elements contained in this guide is exclusive and/or subject to detailed regulation by the owner of the trademarks, according to the regulations on the use of copyright.

The purpose The EMMEDUEÂŽ Style Guidelines were developed to help everyone to communicate and implement the brand. Using these branding standards help EMMEDUEÂŽ to increase the brand impact. The brand will be recognizable, strong and perceived in the right market position, at the top. Every single word, graphic element, color, icon, image is a step in a single direction: being unique, recognized in countries around the world.

Be the first one means also to become a role model for the entire market, a landmark for innovations and trends. Every single detail in our visual image communicates who we are. Always by your side.

Standard logo

A/01

The M2 standard logo is the most immediate representation of our company and identity all over the world and it must be used consistently in the proper, approved forms.

The M2 logo is composed by the M ansd 2 initials, the EMMEDUE logotype (both inside a blue frame). The initials, the logotype and the frame compose the symbol. Another element of the M2 logo is the “ADVANCED BUILDING SYSTEM” payoff.

Composition

A/03

The symbol is combined with a logotype and a payoff. The vertical arrangement of the two elements reinforce the construction and gives a dynamically presence. The arrangement and proportions is based on a grid which establish the form and proportions.

Safety Area The logo should always be surrounded by a minimum area of space. The area of isolation ensures that headlines, text or other visual elements do not encroach on the logo.

A/04 The safety area is defined by the dimension equal to the hight of the “EMMEDUE” shape.

A/05

There are some predetermined sizes for the logo. First of all scale and proportion should be determined by the available space, aesthetics, function and visibility. Minimum size should be respected for maximum readability and recognisability.

Backgrounds logo

A/07

The background version of the logo is designed with a white outline around the symbol and a white version of the payoff for dark backgrounds. Payoff must be declined in a blue version for light backgrounds.

Black and White/Negative version The logo is designed to have the same impact and readability in every situation. In In some case, where color reproduction is limited or for one-color applications a mono version is required. For example fax, this version is recomended.

Photographic backgrounds When possible always apply the logo on uniform backgrounds colour. For other applications follow these indications for maximum readability and unaltered appearance. The logo may only be applied on photographic backgrounds in smooth and one colour areas.

M2 partners can use this special version of M2 brand layout, called for M2. The layout is designed to match the M2 logo with any existing logo. The concept is to have a distinguish and recognizable suffix, without loosing the partners’ brand impact. Payoff is not included in this version.

The M2 logo has the major impact and logos like M2 35 years should, when used togeather always be use with less visual impact maintaining the proportios 4:3. For logos of secondary impact the hight of the various logos is suggested to set equal and no bigger the 50% of the M2 logo when displayed together.

M2 blue

Primary palette

C/01

M2 has always been connected with the colour blue. A colour accosiates with a industry, innovation and a tecnical sector as well as transmits values like dynamism, trust and order. The blue colour has and will continue to have a strong presence in all communications.

The new M2 blu has been created for print to modernise the communication and to give a distinct colour reference to every applications. The metalized effect gives and added value and an unique touch to the brand image. The M2 grey tones (also metalized) works to complement and highlight the main colour.

Secondary palette The additional colors in the secondary color palette will help simplify complex information conveyed in charts and graphs.

C/02 Color distribution: Use plenty of open white space in the M2 designs. The use of white keeps the design modern and clean.

Font interaction I) For every prehead text the font to use is Helia Light Italic. For the copy emphasis the font is Helia Regular Italic II) For every head text the font to use is Geogrotesque ExtraLight. Uppercase is forbidden, any other font or font weight is forbidden III) For every body copy the font to use is Helia Light .For the body copy emphasis please check the previous page.

Proportions Proportions (X) between fonts are the key to obtain the best graphic balance. The correct proportions are on the left in the sample below. The line spacing must be always the same (Y). Example: Prehead 15pt = 3X Head 55pt = 11X Subhead 20pt = 4X Body 10 pt = 2X
