SOUL Camp SOUL Camp 337: July 24–26, 2020 Camp A: August 8–11, 2020 Camp B: August 13–16, 2020

SOUL Camp is an extended, experiential orientation program that will provide new students an opportunity to learn more about the spirit and tradition of UL Lafayette while also continuing to build friendships and leadership skills through community service and other activities. SOUL is an acronym for Service, Outreach, Unity, and Leadership. Issues and themes of camp will pertain to the development and understanding of Time Management, Money Management, Campus Involvement, Academic Balance, Leadership Skills, Community Engagement, Diversity and Multiculturalism, Health and Wellness, and University Pride.

Camp costs $200.00 and includes meals, lodging, transportation, two camp T-shirts, and other camp costs. For more information, or to register, visit orientation.louisiana.edu/soul-camp.

Cajun Connection Date: August 20, 2020

Cajun Connection is a required introduction to UL Lafayette and to university life and academic work. This fun-filled series of events will prepare your student for their courses and get the academic year off to a great start! Topics covered during Cajun Connection include time management, study skills and strategies, focus on major and career choices, identifying and utilizing campus resources, and encouraging students to become active participants in their learning and to engage fully in university life.
