Family Resources The University of Oregon and Parent and Family Programs are committed to helping our Duck families engage with the university and provide much needed support to their students. Programs and publications, such as this guide, are offered as a way of providing insight into the student experience and strategies for positive family engagement. Below you will find a collection of resources available to families. Family Weekends Duck families are invited to join us in Eugene October 23–25 for our Fall Family Weekend and then again in the spring for Spring Family Weekend. Family Weekends create opportunities for families to visit campus, reconnect with their student(s), and experience the Duck lifestyle. The Parent and Family Programs team works hard to provide opportunities for families to design their Family Weekend with a combination of classroom experiences, campus activities, athletic events, and Eugene happenings. Be on the lookout for registration. We recommend planning ahead, as many events have limited capacity and hotel accommodations fill up quickly. To learn more, visit families.uoregon.edu/events.
Parent and Family Association The Parent and Family Association (PFA) is the best way to stay connected to the UO and other Duck families. Membership benefits include our monthly e-newsletter, discounted access and priority registration to family events, and so much more. Families can join the PFA for a one-time $75 membership fee that is utilized to provide increased accessibility, services,

and events for families. The fee provides a “lifetime membership that lasts as long as your student attends the university, as well as any siblings who also decide to become Ducks. The one-time membership fee is waived for families of Pell Grant or PathwayOregon eligible students. Families not prepared to join are still encouraged to provide us their information via the PFA form so we can keep them aware of pertinent campus updates. To join the Parent and Family Association, visit families.uoregon.edu/pfa.
