University Health Center The University Health Center (UHC) is a Deaconess clinic that provides medical services and health-related information to students, faculty and staff. It is located in the lower level of the Health Professions Center. The goal of the Health Center team is to help students and staff maintain or improve their health, allowing them to reach their highest potential both in and out of the classroom. Services available at the University Health Center include, but are not limited to, acute and minor care, immunizations, allergy shots, laboratory testing, prescriptions, specialty referrals and physicals.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. When the campus is open, but classes are not in session, the Health Center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Services provided at the University Health Center do not replace the need for a primary care physician. Services provided by the University Health Center may be billed to insurance or billed directly to the student. Students may enroll in the Deaconess Office Visit Plan (OVP) to help with the cost of UHC services. The OVP includes one free physical per academic year, unlimited office visits, point-of-care tests at no cost (flu, mono, strep, pregnancy and urinalysis) and one flu shot per year at no cost.
