SOUL Camp
SOUL Camp 337: July 15–17, 2022 Camp A: August 6–8, 2022 Camp B: August 10–12, 2022 SOUL Camp provides students an opportunity to learn more about the spirit and tradition of UL Lafayette while building friendships and leadership skills through community service and other activities. SOUL is an acronym for Service, Outreach, Unity, and Leadership. During Camp, we focus on key transition issues: campus involvement; community involvement; university pride; career development; leadership skills; academic balance; time management; and diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism. Along with easing the transition to college life at UL Lafayette, SOUL Camp creates and prepares future student leaders at the University while sparking interest in ongoing campus and community engagement. Camp costs $200 which includes program facilitation, lodging, meals, transportation, two camp t-shirts, camp bag, and a water bottle. New Student Convocation
Date: August 21, 2022 New Student Convocation is the official academic welcome for first-year students and marks their entrance into the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. All first-year students are required to attend. As the start of the semester approaches, the Office of First-Year Experience will communicate additional details about New Student Convocation to your student via University email.
Family Weekend
Date: TBA We believe that higher education is a three-way partnership between this university, its students, and their families. As such, we want you just as involved as your student! During Family Weekend the University welcomes parents and families to visit our campus and local community for a variety of programs and events.
