Your Family Weekend t-shirt and water bottle orders can be picked up here too. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and beverages, visit the cash bar, and meet other DU families. Chancellor Haefner will join us during the evening as we’re enjoying chocolate desserts and watching the sun set behind the Rockies!

Our DU off-site adventure this year is at The Clue Room, Colorado’s first and largest escape game company. You’ll have 60 minutes to escape from an unfamiliar room by working together to solve various puzzles, mysteries, and clues to complete your mission. It’s all about having fun, thinking creatively, and teamwork. We guarantee this experience will be unlike any other! Learn more about their 10 originally designed games at theclueroom.com. You can build this into your schedule by choosing the time you’re able to go, and how many people you want to bring along. Come by yourself or choose up to 10 people to be in your party...and they don’t need to be attendees of Family Weekend to go with you!

The Innovation Labs is a group of interdisciplinary, experiential, and project-based learning laboratories consisting of a fully equipped maker space, wood shop, and microFactory. You’ll see where engineering students create projects using high-tech machines such as 3D printers, a laser engraver, and a CNC router. What’s that you ask? Come on the tour and see what it can do. See the spaces where our students’ ideas become prototypes and products.

DU students are making their campus a better place to live and work. The Center for Sustainability employs staff and students who coordinate the Gear Garage (for affordable rentals of outdoor gear), the Food Pantry (organizing donations and providing sustenance for their fellow students), and the Thrift Store (collecting and redistributing items that other students leave behind at the end of term). And did you know about the Bike Shop where students can get repairs without paying labor fees that local shops charge? Learn about these spaces and more as you catch a glimpse into the Sustainability Marketplace during one of our 30-minute tours. If you’d like to bring donations, we will be collecting items at the west doors of the Community Commons (next to Starbucks).

Grab lunch at our Family Weekend Buffet and join us outside on Driscoll Green for Denver Dessert Fest. We’ll have dessert food trucks, tables, music, and lawn games. Lunch is included in your Family Weekend registration and desserts are a la carte.

Throughout our 125-acre campus, many subtle architecture and art installations often go unnoticed. Let us show you a few of the sculptures and symbols with interesting stories to tell about DU and Denver’s history. This tour will begin at the Driscoll Green Flower Bed right next to the Denver Dessert Fest. Bring your water bottle and get ready for a campus stroll.
