Advising

Students with 23 or fewer credit hours

will be assigned a First Year Academic Advisor who will assist in making academic decisions as well as serve as a resource for any related questions pertaining to the University of New Orleans. The objective of this close, working relationship is to assist students in building a solid academic foundation during their first year at UNO.

Students with 24 or more credit hours

are advised by a College Advisor in the College of Business Administration; College of Engineering; College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development; College of Sciences; or Interdisciplinary Studies. The College Advisor assists each student from their sophomore year all the way to their graduating semester.
