Culinary Delights CHRISTMAS TREATS One of the best parts of any Christmas Market is the food. The smell of mulled wine, gingerbread, cookies, fruitcake and roasted nuts mingles with the scent of smoky sausages being cooked outdoors to create the most wonderfully festive and mouthwatering olfactory atmosphere.

Dashing Through the Snow! HORSE DRAWN SLEIGH RIDE
A Tranquil Winter Landscape LAKE LOUISE Lake Louise has become symbolic of the quintessentially Canadian mountain scene. This alpine lake, known for its sparkling blue waters, becomes a wonderland of adventure in winter. This 1.5-mile (2.5 km) lake freezes solid in the winter months, allowing adventures from cross country skiing and snow shoeing to a relaxing and romantic horse drawn sleigh ride. It’s also voted time and again as one of the most scenic skating rinks in the world.
Find yourself dashing through the snow on this wonderful winter adventure. Take in the pristine landscapes as the rails of the sleigh glide smoothly along to yet another quintessential winter activity: sipping hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Snuggle in and enjoy this sweet moment.
DID YOU KNOW? Banff and Lake Louise, nestled in the Canadian Rockies, is the second highest elevation community in Alberta. Visitors enjoy endless winter activities – including the world-renowned Ice Magic Festival. For three days in January, ice carvers from around the world create ornate works of art out of large blocks of ice. With brute strength and precision, these “ice magicians” form frozen masterpieces that wow judges and spectators alike.

DURING THE HOLIDAYS In 2018, Collette is proud to celebrate its 100th year. As we look back over the past century, where and how we travel has changed. But one thing remains the same – the reasons why we travel. We have come a long way, from simple bus tours to culturally immersive and inclusive explorations. But whether it’s fulfilling a dream, celebrating the new year, or simply broadening our horizons, our reasons for travel remain the same.
