Cacti and Succulents 101
Colleyville Garden Club member Bill Utley will discuss the basics of cultivating and propagating cactus and succulent plants. He will be bringing in some examples to share with the class as well. Bill is a member of the following organizations: Fort Worth Cactus and Succulent Society, Cactus and Succulent Society of America, Texas Association of Cactus and Succulent Societies, and Hobby Greenhouse Association. He is most interested in Texas native cacti. He also makes many of his own pots for his plants.

Evolving Gardens: Ongoing Revisions
Jean Neisius will discuss how her home gardens have evolved over the 32 years that she and her husband have lived in their home in Colleyville. Jean is very involved in the Colleyville community. Some of the community groups she is involved with in addition to the Colleyville Garden Club are the Colleyville Public Library Foundation and the Colleyville Woman’s Club.

BASIC SELF-DEFENSE WITH COLLEYVILLE ATA MARTIAL ARTS
This class is based on self-awareness and preventing negative situations as well as techniques to deflect and defend against attacks. The techniques taught are founded in ATA Taekwondo and taught by licensed ATA instructors. This is a six week course. There will be a graduation celebration at the end for those who have attended the majority of the classes. Please note that registering for this class means you are signing up for all six classes. Space is limited. Please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can give someone else an opportunity to participate.

Junk Journals with Swan & Hare Uniquely Handmade
What is a junk journal? A junk journal is a book which is often made through found and recycled materials to be used as a way to collect and record memories, thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. Sheila Swanson will provide all of the supplies you will need to make a junk journal and walk you through each step of the creation process.
