VOLUNTEERS HELP IN WHALE RESCUE

Volunteers in Sri Lanka worked through the night to save 100 pilot whales that became stranded in shallow water. The whales were spotted in the afternoon. “They looked like a dark patch on the horizon,” said a fisherman. “Then they moved towards the shore. We tried to push them back, but they kept returning.”
