2019 Collins Big Cat Writing Competition Recommended Readers
The Collins Big Cat Writing Competition is a global writing challenge to encourage children to write creatively and read more broadly. Closely linked to our whole-school reading programme, it’s a great way to spark a lifelong love for literature in primary school pupils. This year’s theme is ‘Our World, Our Home: Be a Big Cat Eco-warrior’, in response to the growing importance of the environment on our daily lives. We encourage both fiction and non-fiction entries, on a wide range of topics relating to the environment and Planet Earth. These Recommended Readers have been specially selected for the theme, to inspire young writers during the competition.
