Bird Catch Nets We manufacture these catch nets ourselves with either a 17½” ‘D’ shaped or round shaped frame in 5 mm 316 stainless steel. Fitted with an easily replaceable heavy duty 'fryma' mesh net that is 22 inches deep and a 3 ft or 5 ft 19 mm smooth fibre glass handle.

Jumbo Release Pen Netting

Jumbo Mesh is an excellent alternative to wire netting. It is very easy to handle and erect, will not rust and is very strong. The hole size is approx 2” x 2” square. Jumbo netting is ideal for exposed sites and can also be used as deer fencing. It is a semi-rigid, ultra violet stabilised black polypropylene netting and weighs 80 grams per square metre. It is often used to increase the height of a release pen, with wire on the bottom half.

Global 10 Gas Brooder £220 The Global 10 design is suitable for up to 2,000, day old chicks and has a very large heat range of 3,000 30,000 Btu. The strong stainless steel reflector & spherical burner helps to radiate 95% of the heat efficiently downwards. The Global 10 Gas Brooder can be hung at a higher height (between 1.8 mtrs & 2 mtrs) than other brooders enabling it to heat a large area. The spare parts for this brooder are the same as the Global 5 apart from the Jet & the Dust Filters. (This gas brooder requires more air than the Global 5 design, so larger filters are fitted)

The Global 10 Gas Brooder is ideal for a larger rearing shed. It is suitable for rearing poultry, game birds, ducks and pigs

Global 5 Gas Brooder £190 The Global 5 is an easy to operate, THERMOSTATICALLY controlled gas brooder. This means the brooder automatically maintains the chosen temperature. When there is no need for heat, the pilot light keeps the burner operating on the lowest setting. It is very economic to run in saving propane and labour costs.

The Global 5 design is suitable for up to 1,250, day old chicks & has a large heat range of 2,500-19,500 Btu making it more adaptable than the ceramic brooders. The strong stainless steel reflector and spherical burner helps to radiate 95% of the heat efficiently downwards over the area, whilst brooders with cylindrical burner houses radiate 35% upwards and only 65% downwards. The Global 5 Brooder can be hung at a higher height (between 1.4 mtrs and 1.7 mtrs) than our ceramic brooders enabling it to heat a larger area.

All of our brooders are fitted with a flame failure shut off valve as standard which cuts the gas supply if the flame is extinguished. 14

Our brooder prices include an installation kit which comprises of 2 metres of chain, ‘s’ hooks, jubilee clips, a stainless steel air filter, 2 mtrs of gas pipe & an adjustable 1-10 regulator. These ceramic gas brooders can be controlled manually to adjust the temperature according to the needs of the birds. Approximately 90% of the heat is radiated to the floor. As a result of testing and experience we recommend a suspension height of between 0.70 mtr and 1.10 mtr. The gas supply pressure of these brooders is propane at 50-150 mbar. The air supply to the brooder is through a stainless steel dust filter. All the brooders we sell are manufactured, assembled & tested in Holland using only the very best raw materials. The reflector is larger and stronger than other makes of brooders.

AP2 Gas Brooder £145 The Alke AP2 brooder is thermostatically controlled and is the ideal solution for smaller set ups; commonly used in the Poultry & Pig industry. The AP2 is suitable for up to 1200 chicks. It has an operating range of between 1.2 kw and 5.6 kw this brooder can maintain a heat range of between 4,100 Btu and 19,100 Btu. These low maintenance brooders are made from stainless steel and have no breakable ceramics.

The Dosatron is installed directly in the water supply line, and operates by using the flow of water as the power source.

The water activates the Dosatron, which takes up the required percentage of concentrate directly from the container and injects it into the water. For example; a dosatron set at a dose rate of 1% will inject 1 litre of product for every 100 litres of water which flows through it. The benefit of choosing the white/clear plastic model is that it is stronger and the seals will last longer. Dosing Rate Range: 0.8 - 5.5%, Flow Rate ltr per hour: 5 - 700

Automatic Duck Drinker A free standing ball valve drinker with short, strong legs and is designed with large access holes down each side. This fully automatic drinker is fed directly from your water supply and fitted with a cut off valve (internal cut off float) so it keeps the water to the correct level. To clean the drinker simply unplug the grommet and drain the water out. Although manufactured for waterfowl in mind this drinker has also proved very successful for chickens during trials.
