The Making of a Lab-Created Diamond

HPHT Method: A Diamond’s Fiery Birth

In the High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) process, we start with pure carbon and a small diamond piece, known as a “starter seed.” Placed in an extreme environment of intense heat and pressure, the carbon melts and reforms around the seed, transforming into a beautiful diamond.

CVD Technique: Diamond Growth in a HighTech Nursery

For the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method, it all begins with a thin diamond slice in a sealed chamber. Filled with a hydrocarbon gas mixture and energized with lasers or microwaves, the gases break down, allowing carbon atoms to attach to the seed, gradually growing a diamond, layer by layer.
