Instructor: Louise Cutler Level III – This class is for those who have significant experience in the medium — two or more classes or a year or more of experience. Artists are the recorders of history and events: those happening now and those in the future. The past year brought about changes to our society that uncovered truths that were hidden and are now starting to be revealed. Truths that were previously only visible to some are now visible to many, many more than before. This course is about creating art that centers around social justice and using it to complete the narrative created by social injustice. “Thank you for continuing to offer courses virtually throughout the pandemic. This has given me something positive to focus on and look forward to during a very difficult time.” –Bemis School of Art Student “Since I started this course with Ms. Kim, it has been extremely helpful to me in selecting the right colors and technique to painting. I always loved to paint but I was not motivated to do so until I learned about this course with Ms. Kim. I am very grateful that this virtual program is available to military personnel and spouses. It was a tremendous experience.” –Bemis School of Art Student
