Virtual: Beginning Printmaking for Small Spaces & Meaningful Sharing
Instructor: Kathryn Romberg Level I Create small-scale, meaningful works meant to share in this virtual course. Tap into images, color, and symbolism meant to convey messages beyond words using the basic tools and materials of printmaking. Learn the basics of monoprints, relief prints, collagraphs, and paper lithography using simple but effective basic tools. This course includes live Zoom class sessions and live Zoom studio hours. Level 0 This virtual course focuses on plaque tile making through a series of personalized prerecorded video demonstrations, exciting zoom presentations, and fun class interactions to celebrate the techniques of building in clay. Texturing, slip decoration, glazing techniques, and how to work from a photo reference will be covered. This process can be done by anyone anywhere, from outside in a park to the kitchen counter. This course includes live Zoom class sessions, live Zoom studio hours, and prerecorded content. A detailed and strict drop-off for firing procedure, complete with size, weight, and amount limits will be provided by the instructor. Supply list and kit pickup information online.
